"Great experience today!! Big thank you to Elizabeth W in registration today for all her quick responses and help!! Big thank you to Ryan F who did my son’s CT scan for being so kind and making my son comfortable! Yall were great, Thank You!!"
"Save yourself time and go ANYWHERE ELSE! I waited 5hrs in the ER and it took me going up and telling them I want to leave for them to consider seeing me. I’m a nurse and I understand waiting because others may have it worse, but 5hrs is insane! As a nurse I also understand staffing is super low now, but if I come to an ER over going to an urgent care, then something is wrong. Please do better Summerville Medical, you have friendly staff, but you need to do better."
"Had surgery recently, everything from check out to recovery went super smooth. Every member of the staff was so kind, compassionate and explained everything that was going on. I felt very comfortable and taken care of throughout my stay. The get well card a few days after was a very sweet touch. Thank you!"
"My daughter has visited the ER twice, both times we saw Dr. Hewett. Dr. Hewett deserves the world. She has best bedside manner and truthfully cares for her patients and their families. On the first encounter I had with Dr. Hewett she spent an hour making sure that I had the education I needed to care for my daughter, she thoroughly assessed my daughter to determine the best course of action. She provided comfort to me, as a new mom, the entire time. The most recent encounter with Dr. Hewett was last night. When I saw that she was the pediatric ER doctor, I instantly felt relieved; I knew my daughter was in great hands and would be very well taken care of. Once again, Dr. Hewett provided OUTSTANDING care that I truthfully do not believe I would get anywhere else. She loves her patients, she loves her job and it shows. Dr. Hewett, from my family to yours, THANK YOU! I am so grateful and appreciative for everything you have done!!"
"This is the worst hospital I’ve ever been in ! The staff do NOT COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER ABOUT A PATIENT! So therefore they DO NOT KNOW THE NEEDS OF THE PATIENT AT ALL! My stay here was n is a horrible experience for me! They had me on patient assistant to get up n I’m on a fluid pill so if I waited on them I would have peed myself EVERY TIME! I AM NOT HAPPY HAVING TO STAY HERE BECAUSE OF THE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN STAFF JUST IS NOT THERE . I would give them zero stars if I could! I saw A good doctor in the ER but I never saw him again during my time here and I am NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT AT ALL ! I had a room with another person ??? A stranger who would use the same bathroom n sink that I did! If I had known that I would have to share a room n or just have a PA OR A NURSE PRACTITIONER TO RENDER ME CARE I WOULD NOT HAVE COME TO THIS PLACE ! I have to beg for my meds to be able to eat because I get sick from eating! Not one time did I get a hot meal and most Of the time I had to get my family to bring me something I COULD eat! I’m so stressed out being here and dealing with this staff! I will never come back if I ever get out! I have to do a 4TH WALK TEST TO LEAVE! I’ve DONE 3 already TO BE ABLE TO LEAVE! They also told me that on the first walk test! I am sicker now than when I got there! Of course I never got a shower or even a sponge bath either never got a towel or washcloth either and we all know that a dirty body can really make you feel bad! I’m just flabbergasted at this hospital! NOT COMING BACK EVER UNLESS I’M DYING!This is my view !! Well I just got out finally because t I had to tolerate all the staff coming to introduce themselves to me but it was a little to late to fix all that had gone on while I was there and had a shadow of a with ME ALL THE TIME this last day in the hospital saying are you ready yet because I was trying to get my medications right before leaving! So I wouldn’t have to go back there .They were SURE ready to get rid of ME. I GUESS THEY Don’t LIKE ME SPILLING THE BEANS ON THEM but they need to know what is going on at this hospital and PATIENTS LIKE ME ! There is no check in where you tell them your needs while ,getting towels n supplies for a shower n all the things needed for a stay in the hospital!. I’m truly flabbergasted at the way I was done and I’m sure others have been done the same way! It is funny after writing the first part things changed totally ! I think I got to meet all the people on duty that I had needed the whole time I was there! I had a couple of the staff that really did a good job n went above n beyond their jobs n I want to thank them on here! Nurses are not given enough credit for all they do n I appreciate their dedication professionalism n the support of them ! This hospital need’s to change because it has become a self serve like Walmart! I was also called confused because they couldn’t find X-rays I knew I had and because the shingles started back again n this was my 5th time of them flaring up because of stress! It was also said in front of my daughter n other staff members.I may old but that doesn’t mean I’m stupid about my own body and because the staff didn’t do a proper check nor get my physical history! This was worse than a ride on a roller coaster! I’m doing this to help other people like me who get sick and try to get help to get well! I still don’t know if I am supposed to take some meds that I was given ;while I was in the hospital or not !They even said they would pay for an Uber to get me out of there! It is a mess dealing with the situation with what all that happened while I was a patient there! It is not like I’m going behind their backs to tell about this because I told them exactly what they needed to do and to change the communication between the staff n the patient n I pray they do change it for the better because those good staff members said the same thing about the situation that went on while I was there!"
