"I was so delighted to see that Cheryl, the proprietor, opened this outpost of her Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn store (on Court St). I have been going to her well-sourced, eclectically-stocked store on Court since it opened, it's like Mecca to those of us who care about finding healthful, holistic, balancing, non-pharma options to treat and prevent an array of medical issues. First time I went in was to tackle my insomnia, she has great CBD options but she has so many other options for it, and I find I need to take different things on different days so I don't develop a tolerance, my favorite being something she recommended called Rip Van Winkle's Sleeping Potion, highly recommend it, wow, so effective and i wake up feeling refreshed not groggy). Cheryl recommended mullein tea after my husband was diagnosed with COPD (his inhaler alone wasn't sufficient) and he has found he coughs less frequently and breathes more freely since taking it. I could go on and on (the nettle she recommended seemed to stimulate my underactive thyroid as she mentioned it might, GP took me down on my prescribed armour after my next labwork, it also helped alleviate neck pain after my accident, i figured this out by chance). I have found her staff to be well informed, unsanctimonious, non-pushy, and humanistic. Thrilled that Remedies has replaced the old herb shop in Woodstock, I was worried we'd have an entirely different kind of business there and it's needed. the old shop didn't seem as well organized."
