"Everyone is so nice and friendly. My son loves it here and asks daily if he can go back. We are so happy at Foundations!"
"Lied to since day 1 about the care and learning opportunities my child would receive. Your child is profit margins to them. Should be an amazing daycare but it is an expensive scam. My son was bitten daily and nothing was done to prevent future incidents. Poor staffing was always an issue to where we were turned away at the door twice when trying to drop off. You can hear kids screaming and crying constantly anytime of day and the teachers are either changing a diaper or sitting in the middle of the room talking to each other and not interacting or give any instruction to the children. We found a new place and have had ZERO issues in three weeks. Do not send your child here and waste your money."
"I wish I could rate ZERO stars for the nightmare this facility provided for our family. My grandson was enrolled at this facility for 3 months. During that time, there were several incident reports (that included visual marks and bruises on his body) created for several assaults he encountered under their care. I. One day, he was allowed to be bitten 3 times by the same child before a care provider intervened. I witnessed 4 toddlers to be allowed to stand and play on tables with the adult across the room and also witnessed this care giver yelling at a toddler assaulting another toddler on top of the table from across the room for over 50 seconds before singing a song to distract her from her actions, the adult never came to the children to stop the assault nor take the children off the top of the tables. When I brought it to the regional director's attention, she was more concerned that I took a video of the incident than she was for the children's safety or the care givers behavior. She demanded I delete the video. My grandson was filthy (including snot dried to his face so thick that it required warm soapy rag and scrubbing to remove, diaper not changed, clothes and body dirty) every time he was picked up. He stayed sick from day 2 of his enrollment until 5 days after his final day at Foundations. There was always crying that could be heard in the hall from the rooms when dropping. He would cry when seeing the building when we would pull up, after 3 months, he did not ever adjust to being happy to be left there. They are understaffed due to the turn around on staffing and therefore there were days admittance was denied leaving parents to scramble to find care for their child or call out of work while facility still collected their full tuition. These are just a few examples. However, there are countless others in our short time our sweet boy was enrolled. This place offers no accountability, safety, stability, well-being, nor cleanlines, which are the basic FOUNDATIONS of child care. I would highly recommend NOT considering this facility for the care of your precious child."
"Our son enrolled on 04/6/23 and was withdrawn 08/18/23. It was our first experience with childcare and we are extremely disappointed for SO MANY REASONS! When we walked through for the tour we were told they followed a STEAM curriculum and that’d he’d also be learning/continuing to use sign language. A beautiful facility that seemed to have everything under control. But instead…we experienced: EXCESSIVE BITING-9 incident reports, some included up to 4 bites within an incident and some times our son would come home without documented bites. I know other children in his class were also being bit so 9 is just my child’s experience. I asked what would it take to remove the child but there isn’t a policy to support providing such expectation which makes us feel like the children are just a way to keep the lights on and that the safety of the children isn’t the main concern. We were promised that they were making appropriate changes to prevent future incidents just for them to continue to happen. We got corporate involved… come to find out, we were paying the $280 a week to provide our child with a STEAM curriculum for it to not only be excluded from the daily routine but(confirmed by a regional manager) to be the main reason my son was being lashed out on from another classmate. One of the incidents, the assistant director called to inform me and started the call with a chuckle and said, “You could probably guess why I’m calling.” TEACHER UNSURE OF WHERE CHILD WAS-We’ve gone to pick my son up from school for him to not be in the classroom he is assigned and the teacher wasn’t aware of where our child was, a different teacher came running down the hallway to inform my husband that my son was in a different classroom without providing reason. UNSAFE ENVIRONMENT-My mother has gone to drop my son off and found 4 toddlers on a table. One was shoving another child’s face into the table. STAFFING PROBLEMS-We get texts messages constantly that they won’t be able to accept anymore children for that day because they are at full capacity. Staff is constantly changing so consistency in general is lacking. Because of the constant moving around due to staffing, his belongings would be misplaced. I’ve been told to bring in more sunscreen because his was misplaced or that they gave my son a random blanket because his was in the other classroom or that his belongings were in another child’s cubby. Not responsive via phone call or through the app that we pay so much money to have. After putting in our notice with FELC, they prematurely deactivated our online access which enables us to keep track of our child and staffing issues(a common problem.) & no staff ever reached out about his withdrawal-confirming the lack of caring for the children. I feel like they should be concerned why they can’t keep clientele? Our experience has been terrible and nothing but stress since the day he started. They are over promising and overcharging for the service that is being provided. Please think twice before enrolling or subjecting your child to this environment."
"My daughter has attended since the first day the Foundations Center 214 Foxbank location opened and we have had the best caring, engaging, teaching experience ever. I trust that my child is safe and well cared for during the summer and being transported to and from school, for aftercare. My daughter loves her classroom projects, educational visitors and the staff. The directors and staff are Amazing and these qualities makes Center 214 have five stars in our book. Olympia D."
