"A very good school from the outside looking in. Some of the teachers truly do care about the students, however, if those teachers stand for what is right it can be easily said they are the outsiders. The principal appeared to be in the right business of the kids, it is noticably she tries to keep this perfect image of Beaufort Middle. The assistant principals are questionable. To start with Assistant Principal Chappell, I have witnessed this one call African American children monkeys and criminals. The discipline is different for those students that are Caucasian verses African American. The African American students are more than likely to be put in ISS or suspended from school. Ms. Chappell attempts to make herself look good when it is around the appropriate people. Assistant Principal Skaggs has appeared to be on the students side no matter the skin tone, however, it is hard to determine if this is for pure passion or show. If you are a parent, and your child goes to this school or will go. I would recommend you be very involved and stay on top of what is going on in your child's school. Stay connected, there are teachers who will intimated your child and will do so because they may think you as a parent are not involved."
