"We love our Riverview family. Staff is amazing and very caring. Their core values we admire and support. My children love it!!"
"This school isn't a good school. I did learn more at this school though. This school helped me thicken my skin a little due to the kids always messing with me. This school also taught me that I shouldn't have to depend on my teachers all the time to figure out how to do something due to Ms. Spence (7th Grade History Teacher) refusing to help me with an assignment I really was confused on. This school benefited me and broke me in some ways. I wish everyone in that school the best and nothing more or less."
"This school has some good and bad points... good academics but a bad learning environment"
"Riverview has some strong points--like great teachers--but the negative points far outweigh the school's good points. Riverview's leadership is perhaps the biggest problem, with poor communication, poor prioritization of overall needs vs. wants, and hypocrisy when it comes to being examples of the Core Values they so strongly espouse. The school also has a very real problem with diversity, with a very strong lean (in a variety of ways) towards upper middle class white families. You either fit into that group, or you don't--and if you don't, you will definitely know it. The school needs more experienced leadership who can more effectively communicate with the families, and who will also be the examples of empathy, kindness, etc. that the children deserve. The school also needs to focus more on issues like ensuring teachers have adequate classroom supplies instead of purchasing new decorations/art for the hallways. It's great to see new paint and decorations but when the teachers don't have any money for supplies, there is a problem. Overall, I just think there are other educational options in Beaufort County that offer better leadership and an overall more inclusive experience for students and families (Bridges Charter School being one option). Riverview isn't the "only game in town" anymore when it comes to a good public education opportunity, and thus they really need to step their game up to compete."
"Amazing school! Great learning environment!"
