Tropical Smoothie Cafe

"My grand daughter loves this place, so I surprised her after school with a trip to this business. The smoothies and our food were pretty good. But what bugged me was that we went to the counter and ordered our food, and during the payment process, it directed me to a tip payment. Personally, I am baffled. Why is the public being asked for a tip when we aren't being serviced at a table? It's self-service, not full service! So why is a tip necessary? Are you not paying your employees enough? If you want a tip, have tables with a server, and then I'll reconsider. You might say that no one pressured me into paying a tip. Ok, that's fair, but you're asking for a tip as part of the payment process with suggestions of how much on the screen. That just seems pushy."

"The food and smoothies are very good and the atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. I can't remember her name but the girl with brown hair was extremely friendly and professional :) I'll definitely come again!"

"This was my second visit & it was just as good as the first time. The smoothies are a substantial size (larger than others) & the service is very prompt. For those that can't tolerate soy or whey protein, they have pea protein. It doesn't seem to affect the taste of the smoothie."
