Reviews of CVS Pharmacy
"The pharmacist here is the best. Have had to go from Oramgeburg monthly since December because the Orangeburg locations can’t get the medication that this store has. Excellent customer service each and every time."
"I want to emphasize that this review is NOT of the staff, since they are as much a victim of the CVS horror as we all are. ***CVS CAN AFFORD TO HIRE MORE STAFF.*** ***THIS LOCATION NEEDS MORE STAFF!*** 1) I signed up online for my flu and COVID vaccines for 3pm. I provided my insurance information online. 2) I showed up to the pharmacy window about 10 minutes early. There was a line, so I wandered around the store for a few minutes and came back. The line was even longer, so I just got in line. 3) I spoke to a pharmacy technician a couple minutes after 3pm. I let the person know I had checked in online and she told me to go have a seat, which I did. There was a man ahead of me, already frustrated that it had been a couple minutes since he also had a 3pm appointment. (why are these scheduled for the same time?) 4) The man ahead of me waited about 20 minutes, and was visibly annoyed. 5) I continued to wait, and the pharmacist came out around 3:48pm. It had been about 45-50 minutes of waiting for my vaccines. I told him I bet they are busy and that I felt badly for them. 6) Apparently they needed my insurance card, which I provided, otherwise the vaccines would be $190. I handed over the card, thinking it would be a couple more minutes. 7) I then sat for an additional 20 minutes before giving up. I had to yell back to the pharmacy area since the line was so long and there were 3 phone calls on hold (which had been the case for BASICALLY the 1.5 hours I had been hanging around the pharmacy). I yelled and asked for my card back because I had to go and was giving up. 7) The staff person was visibly frustrated as she handed me the card back, no apologies, nothing. I don't blame her. I'd be pissed at work too. This is not okay, CVS. The staff were clearly OVERWHELMED the entire time I was there. There were 2 other people who showed up for their 4pm appointments. I told them not to bother and that I had already been there waiting for over an hour. ***CVS CAN AFFORD TO HIRE MORE STAFF.*** This is unconscionable. Don't offer services that you can't provide. Don't expect your employees to do the work of 3 people all day long. Hire more people, or stop offering vaccines during busy times. Not okay. Not okay. NOT OKAY."
"Been using for meds for couple years but horrible experience with pharmacists in last 2 months. Had to make complaint to corporate office about refusal to refill prescription on day after the 30 saiying it was by month leaving one day without. Seems rating on all CVS stores are horrible. Complaining to insurance company since they require refills at CVS and with CVS corporate. They obviously do not care about being reasonable or customer service. Very disappointed. Avoid CVS if not required to get RX there."
"My 80 year old parents went in to pick up a script and the pharmacist herself said they do not fill scripts signed by a nurse practioner, even though they received a text stating the script was ready for pick up. When my mother inquired the pharmacist was very rud with her. So they proceeded to inquire about getting their flu shot she told my mother she had opted out of Medicare which was completely false then proceeded to tell my 80 year old parents to find another pharmacy!!! My mother left very upset and shaken at the encounter. The next day went to another CVS and the script was picked up with no issue. Very unprofessional and uncalled for treatment especially from someone who is in a customer service position. I will be following up w a higher up. Completely unacceptable!"
"Awesome customer service. Every pharmacist is friendly and speaks to you and is always helpful. You rarely ever have to wait in line. Even when you drop off a prescription they have it ready within no time. This location is one of the best CVS pharmacies as compared to some of the other locations."
