"** Update to the owner's response below, I find it unfortunate that you are focused on making it look like my review was added in error rather than addressing my concerns, this further validates my decision to have my nails done elsewhere ** This has been my preferred nail salon since 2019 and have been a loyal customer with monthly visits . However I don't intend to return again. Unfortunately I have watched the customer service decline sharply over the course of the past few years. I consistently feel like the nail techs are rushed and annoyed , they rarely speak other than to ask you what color you want, It's disappointing . You feel like you are on an assembly line . I write this review in hopes that it sparks the owner to address the issues"
"I would not come back again. I got a dip manicure and it was an upsetting experience. From the start to the end was bad. First the water I was given to remove my old polish was near boiling temperature. Next, when asked if I wanted my nails shorter I asked for a little, small amount shorter and she cut them all the way down, losing 4 weeks of growth. Then she sanded my nails down, and in the entire process 5 of my fingers were bleeding. She made a comment that it was bleeding and I said "yes because you hit it with the tool". They don't do any work on your cuticles which was surprising to me. And as a warning, the women filed the heck out of my nails. So much that all the skin around my nails is now torn up and damaged. I picked a dark blue color that had a lot of clumps when applied. The powder was all over the place and she complained about the color I picked. At the end there were a lot of white patches in my polish and when I complained about it she said it was because of the composition of the color, saying it wasn't her fault. I continued to complain and say it didn't look good and it was different than the sample color showed. They agreed to either put glitter or the matching gel color on top to cover it. I did the gel so the white patches aren't visible now. But, some of nails are now super thick and look bad. And she was rushing to finish and there's now gel polish on the cuticles of my finger that I don't know how to get off now since it's dry. And my skin is all stained blue from the dip powder which she blamed on the color but it's because she didn't apply it well. And as others said, I was told to wait for the top coat to dry which I've never experienced before. Honestly I wanted to cry during my appointment because my hands hurt so bad and didn't look good."
"Would not recommend. As previously written by someone else that I just saw, my hands were covered with dry powder after dip and then I had to wait for a top coat to dry…I just moved from Chicago and have been to several places there to get my nails done. I have never had to wait for my nails to dry after dip. They typically put a gel on and then I can walk out. If you’re looking for fast, shotty service without a true manicure come here. No lotion or anything after! Apparently it’s five dollars extra to get your cuticles cut! I am highly disappointed."
"Went in there today for a birthday manicure. The technician initially started off very unpleasant. She didn’t even say HI just laid out the nail colors for me to choose from. Then asked do I want them shorter, where I replied “a little” She asked what shape, where I replied “round” My nails were long, most women will understand that concept! Not only are my nails all uneven, some of them are down to the cuticles. They look awful, I left before she could paint them. I will never go back!!!"
"It was my first time coming here and I’m disappointed. I got a dip powder for reference. The guy cut my finger while he was doing my nails (he did say sorry and I get stuff happens, but I don’t love the nails otherwise), the cuticles are not cleaned up, the shaping is.. eh, there was so much powder stuck to my hands after that it looked like I had just done them myself - not paid a professional to do it AND the sizing was not matched up on any of my other fingers. I also saw another worker being rude to another customer while I was there.. So not a good first impression. Other places usually have me wash my hands at some point before they finalize them - this place left me sitting there for 10 min for the top coat to dry while my hands were still caked with powder. After the top dried then a lady came over and squirted enough oil in my hands to deep fry a funnel cake and told me to wash my hands as I carried 2 palms full of that oil to the sink and that was the final step… I wasn’t able to get all the powder off because the top coat had already soaked into the random spots of powder on my fingers so I had to go home and soak it off. The pics are after that. Just eh. Wouldn’t recommend."
