"It was my first time going to this park and have to say it was pretty nice it wasn't crowded it was clean. I didn't get to explore the entire park but we did go to the zoo area and I would highly recommend it. Especially if you want to get the kids out of the house and you're on a tight budget."
"I love memorial park. It has a nice walking track, a play ground area for kids, and two shelters for gatherings. They are currently doing construction, and creating a dog park."
"This is my favorite park in the area. It’s in a neighborhood and has quite a bit of wooded area for a city park. There’s a zoo nearby for animals that can’t be released into the wild. There’s a pool and basketball court. Lots of turtles reside in the lake. It’s a bonus when you spot the Great Blue Heron. The walk around the walk is less than a 1000 steps. The playground is nice and clean. They have restrooms nearby. There are quite a few pavilions that you can rent out for parties and birthdays. This is family friendly park. The dog park is nice but I had to leave the last couple of times because of problematic dogs. I’m so glad this is available right in the middle of Athens!!!"
"A very beautiful park. There is a walking trail that is paved. It goes around the entire lake. We came at the end of summer and there were 30+ turtles we saw. There are a few covered pavilions and picnic tables around. The dog park is closed until spring 2023."
"Really beautiful. I so love visting a nice lake park. Wished I lived closer, once my teenager graduates high school. The Oshun in me will move closer to a lake park. I could sit here all day meditating by the water, feeling and connecting with the water spirits. The children loved it ❤"
