"I bought a dresser and bunk bed from Max & Lily. While we like the bunk bed, the dresser has been a nightmareish experience. It is terrible quality and the drawers are extremely difficult to open. Customer services has been a pain to work with. I've also posted a review on their website, but they have not approved it and they only show the good reviews, which is completely unethical."
"Ordered a loft bed with a wrap around desk and shelf on September 6th. After a couple of weeks of not hearing from them, I reached out to Customer Service. No response. I reached out via Facebook and was able to get ahold of their Social Media team. They reached out to Customer Service, who sent a generic "we're sorry, we're overwhelmed and are working to get your order to you ASAP." Another week goes by and I reach out to Customer Service. No response again, so I reached back out to Social Media. I was then sent 2 tracking numbers on October 6th (1 for the loft bed/desk and 1 for the shelf). The tracking number for the shelf updated, but the loft bed/desk did not. After 1 week of no movement, I reached back out again. I was told to "wait another 5 business days and if the tracking doesn't update, I'll get a full refund." It hasn't updated, and no refund. Check out their Max and Lily Facebook page; it's happening to other customers as well. Terrible Customer Service, and never received the item I purchased/paid for. They processed the payment right away without sending anything out. Buyers, beware!"
"A little disappointed in our twin over twin bunk. It’s very, very wobbly- even after tightening several times over a two month period. I reached out to the company and they sent out a couple replacement parts. However, it wasn’t the part that I needed… So now I’m waiting on the other pieces I need. I’ve waited 3 weeks for these replacements parts to arrive- while my kids are sleeping on the floor. (Not a big deal, just annoying). Also, one board arrived with what looks like mildew on it and 4 of the boards cracked when I was tightening them to try and solve the wobble issue. I’m also bummed because I left a 3 star review on their website and it looks like it was never posted. Which makes me think they only post the 4 & 5 star reviews on their site. It feels a little dishonest to do that. I need another bunk set, and will sadly just buy an IKEA set next time around. I wanted to believe these would be sturdier and great quality, but our Ikea beds are 10 years old now and just as sturdy as they were when they were brand new."
"Highly recommend avoiding Maxwood Furniture and their subsidiary Plank + Beam. The order came damaged and discolored directly out of the box and like other reviews here, we got no where with customer service. Not worth the cost or hassle!"
"The mattress that we ordered as an add on for our toddler’s new bed was boxed incorrectly and sent as the wrong size, it is about 4 1/2 to 5 inches too short. Both my wife and I spoke to multiple representatives for the company, including the “Customer Care Manager” Amanda. They refuse to accept a return for the mattress because it has been opened, although we have documentation from them admitting that they sent the incorrect mattress. They offered to send the correct mattress, but said it is on back order with no ETA of when it would arrive. The bed is already built and our toddler is excited to sleep in it but we don’t have a mattress that fits yet. This is terrible customer service and the supposed “Customer Care Manager” clearly doesn’t care about their customers at all."
