Reviews of Tabula Rasa Salon
"I love love love this salon. I go to Stefanie and she kills it every time!! She cuts and dyes my hair perfectly and is so sweet. Do not listen to any reviews on here that say otherwise. She is an amazing stylist and the only person I trust with my hair now. Everyone at the salon is so kind, and multiple of my friends have gotten their hair done by other stylists, 10/10. Would 100% recommend!!"
"Ansley Peck is amazing! I came in with very grown out highlights from a different salon and Ansley worked her magic! She is so sweet and happy and seemed to love what she does. The salon is very clean and everyone I interacted with was very kind. I cannot recommend Ansley enough, I am finally in love with my hair."
"Samantha C. did a most amazing job! First time there and I needed color guidance. She performed miracles on my hair and did the best job any colorist has ever done on my hair! I highly recommend this salon and especially Samantha! Thank you so much!"
"I went to see Samantha for a full balayage refresh after moving to Charleston. She was patient, kind and took the time to review photos and listen to what I wanted. I was most appreciative of the extra time she took to use low volume developer on my fine hair to not damage it. She didn’t know at that time but I had been through a few surgeries and my hair was thinning and damaged from all the anesthesia. I never felt rushed, ignored or uncomfortable and was there for a good 3 hours for my service. Finding a colorist you trust and have the right chemistry with isn’t easy and I’m so happy I met Samantha. My color came out great and I left my appointment feeling like a new woman with more confidence than when I walked in!"
"I’ve never been someone to leave a review, but after my experience Tabula Rasa Salon I felt compelled to write one. I originally had Stephanie, who was very nice as a person but completely failed to deliver what I wanted or asked for. I first showed her multiple photos what I was looking for - a warm blonde / honey balayage. I was completely aware and voiced that due to the darkness of my hair, it may not fully lift the way I wanted which I was okay with. HOWEVER, I refuse to call what she did to my hair balayage. I was left with patchy, brassy HIGHLIGHTS. I understand that hair can be a form of science, but she completely failed to tone it properly. She left my front foils on way too long causing them to be bright blonde, while the rest of my hair was brassy. Though she did apologize for having to retone my hair after it was dried and styled, it could of been avoided in my opinion or at least fixed. There was no gradient effect on my hair, but large stripes throughout my head. I attached a picture below. What was even more disappointing than getting the complete opposite of what I asked for, Stephanie left in the middle of the apt cause “she was late for something”. This was after she realized she made a mistake with my front pieces, where she had another stylist finish it. She was fully aware we were doing balayage on dark hair prior to the apt. This is your job, if you have something going on 3 hours into our apt, do not book me. I am by no means a professional when it comes to my hair, but I was fully aware it would take at least 4 hours. It was incredibly unprofessional and a poor representation of the salon. I verbally expressed how this apt was a big deal to me because I don’t touch my hair often. I expressed to Stephanie multiple times how I’ve never spent this much money on my hair before and how nervous I was. Knowing this, this genuinely hurt when I felt she was aware how important this was to me, yet, didn’t even have to decency to stay for my FULL apt. I even asked throughout the apt if she does this technique a lot, and she said this is what she does most. I’m fully aware she’s capable to do this and I’m sure she has been a great stylist to others, however to me, she was not. Once she left, I was left with Alex, who ended up being a god send to me. I was extremely embarrassed at the fact I was crying over hair, however, she was the most reassuring, gentle human for me at that time. Not only did she find a way to get me in the next day to fix her co workers mistakes, she ensured me multiple times she will do whatever she needed to make it right. She didn’t make me feel dramatic or overly emotional about the situation and agreed with lots of my concerns. She ended up doing a great with my job with my hair the second time around, and I did feel that she understood what I was looking for more than Stephanie. Cameron the front desk receptionist was just as sweet and understanding. Though I’m grateful that they took me in the next day to make it right, I had family coming in for that day only where 4 hours of my time was being taken away from them and sitting in a chair again. It was also more damage to my hair. Though I’m glad they didn’t charge me the first time around, I don’t think I should of paid FULL price for all the inconvenience I had to go through in 24 hours. I would of tipped Alex 20% regardless due to her being so accommodating to me, however, full price should only being when they satisfy the customer first time around. I attached pictures of what I originally showed Stephanie (1st pic ) what Stephanie did to my hair (2,3, and 4) and then how Alex fixed it the next day (the last pic)"
