About the Business
Wilderness Way Girls Camp is a therapeutic camping program located in the woods near Fair Play, South Carolina. This camp is designed for girls aged 10 to 16 who are facing challenges in their relationships and life choices and are seeking help. Through outdoor living, problem-solving activities, and teamwork, campers learn essential life skills to help them make responsible decisions. The program was founded by Dr. Campbell Loughmiller, also known as 'Chief Lock', in the late 1940s and has since helped many youth make positive changes in their lives. This is not a traditional summer camp, but rather a place where girls can experience friendship therapy in a small group setting. The camp offers opportunities for girls to break free from a cycle of failure and learn positive values through hands-on experiences.
