"Looking for a new trail to walk by the water I found this location. My son and dog enjoyed the paved trail for easy of travel. This trail leads to the river pier and loading area for boats. There is seating options on the pier and a covered gazebo. Beautiful location and views."
"The trail was once part of a railway line that was long abandoned. The initial intention was to build a superhighway but that idea was abandoned as well. I'm glad that it's now being used for space that's walking and biking friendly instead of being a community divider. The pier that's at the end takes advantage of the very scenic views of the Ashley River with the Citadel directly across from the pier. The city has managed to make use of waterfront property in which always rejuvenates the city."
