Sangaree Skate Park

"Far from a "Skate Park". I drove past this small square of concrete for years. I got out 1 day with my board & walked onto the concrete slab... Unless it's changed a tremendous amount, it's barely a ramp there.. maybe 1 rail slide which is set to high off the ground 4 beginners as that's the only type of skaters that should be there."

"Great place for family plenty wide open spaces! And now they added the gazebo and basket ball court even more fun! Only problem there is no restroom so if library is closed you're between a rock and a hard place !"

"Great little skate park with a couple benches for parents. Also basketball court, huge field, little creek, and a new covered pavilion with no seating lol. Skateboards, scooters, skates, anything with wheels is allowed. The parking situation is not ideal when going with multiple kids and scooters, bikes, board, etc bc you have to walk through a field with no sidewalk and juggle everything. If it had a paved walkway from the parking lot to the skate park, the kids could just ride right up to it. Also, no lights at all out there. Otherwise it's a great place. Good selection of ramps. Right behind the Sangaree Library so if you go during business hours you will have access to a bathroom"

"Good little spot in a beautiful area. Not too crowded most of the time I've gone. People of all ages and very friendly. Enough to do for someone just learning how to skate or just getting back into it. Only complaint is no mini half pipe or public restroom after the library is closed for those that don't live in the immediate area. Good quality park for what it is."

"This is a free public skatepark that is a hidden gem in the middle of Sangaree housing division. My 15 year old son loves skating here with the exception of the "little kids" that he says also like to hang out here. Plenty of easy parking (their own parking lot) but also safe enough to drop your skater off to pick up later. Only downside for me is there are no lights after dark but the park rules say there's no skating after dusk anyways."
