"We went to the CCP at IOP yesterday for the first time since Covid. We greatly appreciated the increased handicap parking spaces created as well as the ADA increased size changing rooms on the lower level and the sturdy new handrails on the stairs. Made our experience safe, easy, and enjoyable. Great improvements."
"We visited Beachwalker Part today, August 24 and wanted to let everyone know what a nice experience we had. One employee, in particular, Charlie Vance, went over board in every way to be helpful. We know things are a little slower after school starts, but we believe this person would do the same no matter how many folks were there. He helped us set up our personal umbrella as well as several other folks. This is the kind of employee that anyone would want and we hope he gets recognized for his over the top service."
"My husband and I are visiting from Florida. We were playing Pickleball with our son and his wife at Grand Oaks tennis courts. We used painter’s tape to mark the kitchen line. Less than a third of the courts were being used. A representative from Charleston Parks and Rec came over and told us that Pickleball was not allowed on these courts. They didn’t want Pickleballers to take over the courts. We were told that there were two Pickleball courts downtown. We removed the painter’s tape and left. Has Charleston Parks and Rec done a recent survey of the number of people who play Pickleball in this area? This is a popular sport with all ages. It has grown tremendously since the 90’s. Two courts downtown does not appear to be sufficient."
"I had to make a phone call to customer service because we had questions about the park but was blown away by how professional and helpful Manager Katie was! She was very quick and efficient, answered all of our questions, and showed us Charleston Hospitality! You can most definitely tell she has earned the title manager. 10/10 customer service."
"My husband and I brought our two dogs to the dog park here. It was hands down the best park we have ever been to. There were over 100 dogs, all very friendly, and friendly owners. There are several acres of grass and three large beach areas for dogs to play in the water. There were also benches, picnic tables, a water fountain and hose pipe. We came down for the weekend from Columbia and this will be a must for all our trips to Charleston!"
