She was very helpful and friendly and asked all the right questions. I did not enjoy my first choice of wine and she recommended another which was very good. Will be back."

"There's so much good food to enjoy, this short menu and ok food just doesn't do it. Just average, not sure it makes it past tourist season. Wife got fish tacos- meh, and I got the shrimp scampi- school lunch lady noodles, wayyyy too much lemon, almost tasted like vinegar. Deviled eggs and monkey bread for apps- both were ok. Service was fine, but on the slower side for sure. Just average, and too bad too, really wanted to like it here."

"My wife and I went to Lucky Beach Bar + Kitchen on a Tuesday afternoon just as the place was opening. We received a friendly greeting by the hostess at the front desk and were immediately shown to a table. The interior of the restaurant was clean, fresh, and comfortable with bright, happy colors and a Caribbean feel. There is also plenty of patio seating for those who enjoy the great outdoors. I ordered fried chicken and my wife ordered fish tacos. The fried chicken normally comes with corn pudding and collard greens, but the corn pudding was not yet available so I substituted mac 'n cheese. I really enjoyed the chicken with its crunchy coating and the collard greens were seasoned nicely and tasted delicious. I was served a generous portion of mac 'n cheese and found it to be a good accompaniment for the chicken - creamy and tasty. I also got the cherry tomato crisp, more out of curiosity than anything else since I had never heard of such a thing. It consisted of a layer of sliced sweet onions covered with halved cherry tomatoes topped with a bread crumb topping. It was all baked together in a small cast iron dish, providing a serving large enough to share with another. It was sweeter than I anticipated it would be, but is a good choice for tomato lovers. My wife said that her fish tacos were excellent. She especially enjoyed the pineapple jalapeno salsa that came on the taco. She is often hesitant to order fish dishes in restaurants, but enjoyed her tacos so much that she said she would "definitely" get them again. All in all, we felt that the food was good and the prices reasonable. It's not Burger King prices, but this is not a Burger King restaurant. We both thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this new Hilton Head Island restaurant and plan to return again soon."
