"Celebrating my birthday weekend and this was a lovely find. The owner was on site he was very hands on and polite. He greeted all his guest (regulars) by name upon them entering his establishment. I find impressive! Nayla our server was very professional and courteous. The food was delicious we ordered fried catfish, shrimp and oysters dinners and appetizers. The drinks were cleverly name and tasty. The decor was classic and bathroom was clean. The music was great and very jazz forward! I recommend this spot and suggest you book your reservation early and enjoy!"

"OMGoodness! Ruby Lee's is back!! Several years ago, I had the opportunity to have dinner and enjoy the music at Ruby Lee's. I always remembered how great the food was. After the Covid shutdown and when it was "safe" to return to eating in restaurants, I visited Hilton Head, only to be disappointed that Ruby Lee's had not yet reopened. Tonight, I am so very happy, great food, great service, and great entertainment had returned! Not only was there great chicken, but the ox tails and rice were cooked to perfection! The shrimp was just right, seasoned, and hot. And the fried okra, to die for!! I can't begin to tell you about all the other sides we tried, but take my word, they were delicious! Next time you're in Hilton Head or close by, it's worth your time to drop by and have dinner and music. You will not regret it!!"

"My husband and I went here yesterday for the first time while in Hilton Head for our anniversary. The owner was arguing with a customer who apparently disrespected his workers. He informed the staff to give her all of her money back and for her to leave. He did come to our table to apologize and stated that his staff worked too hard to be disrespected. My husband enjoyed his food. He had the ox tails. I ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes. It was so salty that I was unable to eat it. I didn’t say anything, because I don’t like to complain. But, I must say that the cornbread was delicious!! Our server was wonderful! All in all, I would come back again and try something different. I saw a few people on the reviews complaining about a cover charge for the band, but there were no extra charges on our bill. Maybe because the band had not performed yet by the time we checked out. In spite of a few things, we still enjoyed ourselves."

"Wow, Wow & Wow..... Exceptional..... Oh what a night! We were taken to dinner here with local friends and had a wonderful evening full of great food, music, dancing and lots of laughs. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. A hint of romance but it also feels like a "southern home". The patrons in the restaurant become family by the end of the evening! The music was wonderful, so very happy and alive! The food..... outstanding. The cornbread was the best I have ever eaten. If you have a chance, make Ruby Lee's a priority.... you will LOVE it!! Thank you!!!"
