Waffle House

"This Waffle House can be hit or miss on food and service but my most recent trip was good. The food was ok, not the best but not the worst. The service was good. Our waitress was friendly and took good care of us."

"I don't even know where to begin. So first off I walk up and a girl is smoking a cigarette. When she comes back in she does not wash her hands. Next I walk up to the bar and there's dirty dishes across the whole bar. It took them almost 10 minutes to clear it and never wipe it down. While my food is being made I'm watching them make waffles and stack the plates on top of other waffles. So basically the bottom of the plate is sitting on top of someone's waffle. Then they got my order wrong. As I'm watching I see a girl eating while taken people order. Really? But what really pissed my off is, I guess they wash their dishes in front of the bar. While I'm eating this girl splashes dirty water and soap all over my food. Does not even apologize or anything. Just looks at me like I would have the audacity to be upset. Does not even attempt to make it right. I love waffle house but this is the first time I've been to this particular one. And I WILL NEVER COME BACK. They had 10 workers or so and that place was so discombobulated up and down. My waffle was burnt, my hashbrowns were soggy, but the eggs were good while I had a chance to enjoy them. There was one kid in there maybe 17 years old who did try to make it right but I just left. Shame on this establishment."

"Walked in door and was greeted immediately by Corea. Very friendly, efficient, and accurate. I ordered something that isn't on the menu and she got it down perfect. The cook Jay threw my food together fast and cooked it perfectly. The store was clean and no abnormal odors. One of my best waffle house experiences. Give these two a raise!"

"One of two WH's in Beaufort, I'm at the one on Boundary Street. It wasn't my first choice for breakfast this morning but the light were on and they were open at 7:30 am unlike some other places that said they would be open but weren't. I try to avoid arriving after midnight with the post-bar crowd. I've had mostly consistent experiences across the Waffle House chain. When they're good, they're good and when they're not, they're awful. This was no different. Same layout. Same crew yelling out orders. Same tables needing to be cleared. Same spotty silverware. But the floors were reasonably clean, the music wasn't overly loud and I my order was placed and delivered correctly. Hash brown bowl with ham, eggs and cheese. A big portion and with coffee that was refilled as needed. A filling meal that kept me going for several hours."

"Great food, and friendly service. The restrooms were clean. The only reason why I didn't give this 5 stars is because there was only one cook. He was old exhausted and forgetful. I didn't blame him though. He was incredibly friendly. Although they really need to hire more employees to help this guy out! Also they were out of everything. No tea, milk, etc..."
