"The place looks amazing. But looks can be deceiving. My elderly parent was sent there for rehabilitation after a fall. We had heard such great things, but that was NOT the experience we had. The therapists were mandated by corporate NOT Medicare to have group therapy sessions so many times a week. And if the staff didn't get my parent ready for the day, they didn't get therapy when PT and OT got there around 10. My parent has a GI issue and had to be put on the toilet frequently. Although they wouldn't write an order for Tylenol or advil for pain relief prior to therapy, they did for an anti- diarrhea medicine so they wouldn't have to toilet them as frequently. The family was NOT informed. We discovered it at the emergency room where they were taken due to a GI issue that resulted from this practice. They also allowed my parent to sit in their messed diaper for 3 hours stating they would be back to toilet them, and only returning to switch off the call light several times. Longer than 45 minute waits were common with my family member and I witnessed this on several visits even after I went to get a CNA for assistance. On at least three occasions when I visited, the visitor/staff restroom reeked of weed, to the point that I got a headache from going in there long enough to use the restroom. Some of the CNAs were really sweet. They seemed over worked and under staffed. It's definitely a corporate money focused place. We ultimately moved my parent to a different facility, and the transfer papers were so messed up the new facility couldn't believe they listed them with one injury when it was clearly another causing the issue. It was that obvious. In the two short weeks my parent has been at the new facility, they have already made twice as much progress towards being able to return home than they did in 6+ weeks at Summit Hills. And not once has therapy missed their scheduled time with my parent. I was supremely disappointed in Summit Hills. These people aren't dollar signs, they are human beings who deserve dignity and respect. And when they push the call button, you don't switch it off and let them mess themselves, you help them to the toilet or bedpan or whatever it is. I could go on about the things that not only appalled my family, but also appaled the emergency room doctor my parent saw. I do not recommend this facility for rehabilitation."

"My mother is a rookie resident at Summit Hills. She is enjoying her time here. She has been in therapy several times in various settings. Her therapy here at Summit is so convenient and easy. She has worked with Dani and Kay in physical therapy and with Tatiana and Lacey in occupational therapy. She been very happy with all the wonderful therapists at Summit. They are all professional, encouraging and personable. I feel comfortable that she has the best care possible."
