"I love our New Pastor and how he can explain the messages of Jesus Christ."
"I spoke with Matt Kuhn about volunteering and he recommended Green Street Baptist, also known as The Bridge, which is an extention of First Baptist. They help others with a food market, clothing warehouse, and other types of ministry. They contacted me by email and I hope to get involved soon."
"Our Uncle Bill Osteen's celebration of life service was so encouraging to all of us. The kind remarks said by Pastor Dr Don Wilton and Rev Sal Barone were a blessing to us all. Rev Brian Redding songs of peace were wonderful. Thank you to all the friends and family who attended Uncle Bill's service. Love in Christ, Jim & Judy Wetterman"
"If you are an adult the church is fine if you are the parent of or a middle school/highschool child do not do it. My child has been relentlessly bullied at the church and this is even with us having attend here for years. My son has been so shamelessly mistreated that his relationship with God, Church and people his own age has been warped. I honestly don’t know if mine will ever been the same either. We have spoken to the church in regards to the way he has been treated and other than “assurances” that it is being handled we see nothing being done. My son is a wonderful neurodivergent child who is caring, kind and loving and has been brutally traumatized by his time in the middle school ministry. He is one of three kids I know of whose parents have left the church due to bullying. So if your child is a bully or deals well with being bullied this is the place for you, but if you are not in the correct tax bracket and your child is in any way different from the kids who attend here don’t waste your time. If you do you will only be hurting them and their relationship with a God who I am positive has nothing to do with the teen ministry at First Baptist Spartanburg. Leaving church in tears the both of us crying all the way home is not what I would recommend for anyone. The love of God is not dead but I would argue there is none to be found here."
"Wonderful church, had a great time visiting just before Christmas."
