"Awesome experience. 100% would recommend. 110% Satisfied. This was our first hog hunt and we are both fairy new to hunting, 4-5 years. We booked Friday night to Sunday morning on the free range hunt. When you get there, Mr. John and Mr. Richard take excellent care of anything you may need or want and answer any questions you may have. Their team is extremely knowledgeable and very funny. There were two other hunting groups there, 7 hunters between the 3 groups. The first night, I saw 2 huge sows with 8 to 10 piglets, saw 4 deer, 5 turkeys, 20 ducks and a partridge in a pear tree. I did not see anything “shotable” but there was so much wildlife that it was a great evening. You DO NOT shoot the sows as it clearly states all over their website. Saturday morning I saw 2 babies then had a great breakfast. Since we had not seen anything shootable by Saturday afternoon, Mr Ken was kind enough to let us try our luck on the preserve. Wow, the preserve did not disappoint. I saw my first group of ten or so walking by me about 50 yards in the woods on my left. A few minutes later I saw my next group of 10 and they were at the feeder. Unfortunately I got Hog Fever and my pulse was over 300-350 and I missed the shot. Once it got dark, I had 2 or 3 more groups pass right in front of me. It was too dark to shoot but still an amazing night. I think I saw over 50 hogs that night. Absolutely amazing. My buddy also missed, ha ha. Sunday morning, Mr. Ken was double super triple kind and let us hunt the preserve again. I think they all felt sorry for how bad we were, lol. I shot my first hog 10 minutes before daylight and my buddy shot one 2 minutes after the feeders went off. Thank you sweet Jesus. Neither one were the biggest, bet they were by far the BEST ones we have ever shot and would not not trade them for anything. Richard was our guide and is amazing and will answer any questions no matter how stupid they may be. He kept us in hogs all weekend. He also showed us the skinning, gutting, quartering process. He is very talented and an AMAZING photographer hahahaha. I kept almost every part except the squeal. John kept the show running smoothly and he will keep you laughing every minute you are there. He is also the cook and made great meals. We had a low country boil Saturday night which was amazing. We will definitely be back. Thanks for an unforgettable weekend. Franklin Reames"
"My dad and I went on the 3 night 2 day hunt in the free range. On my first day I saw 8 hogs during the morning and night sit, on my second day I saw 8 hogs and a 160lbs boar that I shot. The website clearly states not to shoot female hogs or bucks under 8 points, but that shouldn’t really be an issue due to the amount of shootable animals. John Kennedy is one of the most entertaining hunting guides while still understanding where hogs will be and when. We were there at the same time as 3 other groups, and not a single hunter went home without an animal. The food was very good, all of it was prepared right in front of you. It’s important to note that the lodging is not a 5 star resort. It is a hunting camp. It had running water, 2 bathrooms, and cellphone service, but it was far from a hotel. Overall it was an amazing hunt and we will definitely be returning."
"This was my first hunting trip, and I went with about three other friends with varying hunting experience. We did the Two Day, One night Hog hunt booking and it was a great time. The guides were extremely friendly, had great stories, and just all around good people. Really was the ultimate guys weekend using the outdoor range, hunting hogs, and spending time with friends. I didn’t get a huge hog on my first hunt but I still came home with something and I’m grateful for that. Things I’d recommend: book a 3 Day hunt, do the free range, come with your rifles zeroed to save time, and a 150QT cooler is perfect. Don’t arrive to your reservation before the time they give you because they've already built in time for you to unpack and get settled in. Also, I recommend having a snack/water with you because they’re only doing one drop off and one pick up during hunts since there’s other hunters, and multiple drop offs/pick ups can be a safety hazard."
"After an unsuccessful boar hunt in 2004, my dad and I had unfinished business. We just returned from a short trip to Williams Hunting and we'll be butchering for days. We came home with two trophy heads, enough meat to last the winter, and some great stories to tell. John and Richard make the place. These guys work hard at making the experience whatever you want it to be. And they are genuinely having fun doing it. So, you will have a good time, too."
"My husband and I had a great time at Williams Hunting! Our guide, Richard, was fantastic! He went above and beyond to help us have a successful trip! Our second guide, John, was also great! Both were very knowledgeable about hunting! They definitely did everything they could to put us on bucks and pigs and it did not disappoint!! We had a great experience and will definitely be circling back for round two! Thank you Richard, John, and Williams hunting for a great opportunity!! — Torey & Amanda"
