"I am posting photos from two years ago, I had great experiences with this Industry Salon. I moved further and tried another salon which was close to my house. It was an absolutely horrendous experience and extremely unprofessional. They messed up my hair (looks similar to attached before photo - just a bit more muddy brown). They told me that no one could work with the type of hair I had. However, I have had no issues with industry salon making my hair beautiful. I really wanted to say thank you for your professionalism and beautiful work."
"I've been a client for over a year. The results of my salon services have always been on point but today was my last appointment and I think prospective clients should consider the reasons why: 1. Despite normally making my appointments with the stylist well in advance, her assistant has done more than half of my service every time. The stylist is either knowingly double-booked or takes mens cuts as walk-ins. The assistant does not have a posted cosmetology credential that is visible. I've booked two fairly expensive services that were 80% done by someone I don't think is actually a hair stylist and I'm pretty sure the results I've had both times are a result of that. 2. The price equals that of a premium service, but the amenities are significantly lacking. It's simple things like the bathroom always being almost out of soap, the fact that you can't use the massage chair when you're getting a pedicure without the entire apparatus shaking, the chairs being wildly uncomfortable...But it makes you wonder why you pay 15-20% more than their competition on most services. 3. The most strict policy I have ever seen on a cancellation / no show / or late appointment. I had an appointment scheduled for quite early today and accidentally overslept. I have been coming every 3 weeks for over a year and have never been more than 15 minutes late for an appointment. I have never cancelled. Their policy for cancelling or rescheduling an appointment less than 24 hours in advance is the client paying 100% of the services, so I notified the salon I was going to be late as soon as I could. They told me it would be a "$15 late fee for appointments after 30 minutes" which seemed reasonable, so I ran to drop my son at school and got to the appointment as quickly as I could, 1 hour late to an almost 5 hour long service. I was the first scheduled at 8:30. I'd arrived at 9:35 and my services were complete around 2:30. They were doing the services in tandem, so I had color applied to my hair while my nails were done. My stylist had her assistant do over half of the work while she was seeing other clients, and this appointment was expected to take the majority of the day when it was booked. When I went to pay, the total was over $200 more than what was quoted when I scheduled the appointment. I asked why and was told the late fee applies to all of the people there to provide your service, which was both the stylist and nail tech, was charged for every additional 15 minutes beyond 30, and was more because they had to bring in the assistant early. Not only is this contrary to the text message they had sent with the policy that morning, but it resulted in late fees exceeding $120 + taxes. I didn't ask them to come in any earlier than the appointment time I was offered, and never wanted an assistant to be the one primarily servicing my hair. I understand I was late and was happy to pay a penalty fee, but that is an absolutely absurd amount for an hour of time when my service time was 4 times that. The experience was humiliating and I'm heartbroken because I really loved Bre as my nail tech, but I can't gamble hundreds of dollars on the courtesy of making an appointment if the penalty is so steep when life inevitably happens every now and again. I was willing to overlook the imperfections the salon had to stay with the nail tech I loved, but I shouldn't be driving home sobbing over how sick I feel going massively over budget because of imposed fees, or realizing I got half a hair cut an hour later. I would have hoped we could have come to a more reasonable solution or that the issue would have been addressed properly prior to beginning the service since it impacted the cost so significantly. The salon stands behind their decision to enforce this policy with zero leniency and I respect that I'm no longer their target audience because of this, but hopefully this helps inform prospective clients of their policies so they never have to be inconvenienced by a client like me in the future."
"This place is amazing over all but I keep coming back to get my hair done by MJ. She has so much talent with color services and it’s always a welcoming and sweet experience every time I’m in her chair. We’ve been on a journey to get my hair healthy from years of me not taking care of it while also going blonde. She has really transformed my hair while also getting me to where I want it to be color wise!! She has so much knowledge of hair care at home and she has helped me find the best products to use for my hair type. I highly recommend booking with her even if it’s just for a cut or a facial!!"
"Emma did my facial and Sara did my hair. Emma reached out to me before coming in because I was very specific on the service I was hoping for. She wanted to make sure she met my expectations instead of disillusioning me into thinking she was going to provide a service that she wouldn't or couldn't. She was upfront with me and absolutely met my every expectation. I needed a lot of extractions and in the past, estheticians would ignore my request or would claim they would do what I asked and then not deliver. Emma went above and beyond to make sure that she delivered on what she said she would do. I am so glad I have an esthetician that I can trust now! She was able to get so much out and I barely felt it because she is so good at what she does. Sara took a look at my hair and let me know what some different options were. I didn't want to bleach my hair and instead of shutting me down, she just redirected me to what some different options were. We ended up going with a root cover and then did some gradient shades of blue to blend into the colors that my hair already had. It turned out amazing and I'm so glad her creativity shines through on my head. Now when my hair grows out, it will blend and not look trashy or unkempt. The new salon is beautiful and I look forward to seeing these girls again and again! Update: Neither one of those girls are there now but Anna Kate is a wild card that can do it all! Facials, hair, the works. I did my lash lift with her today and doing a Brazilian blow out in a couple of weeks."
"I went to this salon based on reviews. I chose Anna Kate after reading her positive review. This was the worst experience of my life. I went to have money pieces done in the front. I chose a dark auburn color on the examples she showed me. When she applied the color to my scalp, it immediately started burning. I asked her if it was normal-she said she has only had one other person have this complaint. I endured this the entire time the color set. To my horror (3 hours of being at this Salon) when she started blow drying my hair it was a bright orange only at the roots as you see below with no color at all on the rest of the hair. I was very upset, but the manager was WONDERFUL! She fixed my hair herself and made it right. This is a nice salon with a great owner, it’s unfortunate there are inexperienced stylists like Anna Kate there to damage their reputation. The picture below doesn’t. Even do it justice! It was highlighter orange—the lighting tones it down to a regular orange. My hair is very dry now and damaged at the top."
