"My only issue was I had to listen to the stupid Google Maps lady to find the salon and I don't like her. They should make the voice & manner of speaking congruent with the region of the country in which the driver is currently located. "Turn left in one-quarter of a mile" is NOT how Southerners speak. It should be something like "In about 4 football fields you're gonna want to slow down 'cause in about half field, you're gonna hang a left". One-quarter of a mile sounds immanent. It scared me to death but, I wasn't going to miss my hair appointment & I didn't. But, I was thoroughly annoyed by the time I got there. If I hadn't gotten a chance to see Brianna's little doodlebug (his birthday was the next day) and he's the cutest little boy, he looks just like his mama. His daddy's handsome but it just seems like the 1st one should look like the mama. But, if I hadn't seen him and had just walked into the salon for the first time raising hell about Google Maps, I might've jumped into politics, I'm one of the few liberals in this area and once that button gets flipped it's so hard to flip it back, I might've walked out with a Mohawk and one eyebrow. I could work with a Mohawk, but one eyebrow? Luckily, I only cussed once and it slipped out, I didn't explode all over the place. It is a nice, quaint shop in Liberty, SC, a town that I'd never ventured to before but I found it very interesting. It made me want to stroll down the street and window shop. Brianna Spivey is a young but talented stylist. She keeps me as close to my natural red as possible but we play, I have a black streak and she worked until she found a way to give me my white streak too. And, my other stylist moved away but I'm glad she handed me over to a competent young woman. My first stylist and I tried every hue of red, I think she was searching for a shade that I couldn't carry and we never did find one. We did a lot of fun styles too. I had her shave the sides of my head at one point and I had Brianna ready to shave my head if I started to lose my hair during chemotherapy. I didn't lose my hair but it changed and then covid almost killed me (honestly. I saw and heard my mama, daddy, and my oldest brother, he was non-verbal and had special needs on earth, and while I recognized my parents it took a while for me to recognize my baby boy. He's whole and I could hear all of them but he was the loudest. His voice always sounded like I thought it would. I had worked with him on saying words, but I didn't let him skate by. But, they were screaming for me to fight). So I did. After covid, I started losing my hair. Now, I have a new problem to fight. And, I don't know the other ladies by name yet but their clients all looked great. And, I didn't say anything too bad, so I get to come back."
