Reviews
"After having a not-so-great experience across the street at a neighbor restaurant, we decided to come to Rio Cantina instead. Not only were they able to accommodate a party of 16 with no reservation, or notice, but we also received remarkable service and great food. I wish we caught our servers name, but he was awesome and we really appreciate the service. 10/10!!"
"Had a great time here! My margarita was delicious, along with the bean dip and chimichanga. Gabe was my server and he absolutely killed it. 5 stars all around. Gabe’s the best!!!"
"Very good Ameri-Mex. Know what your getting not "traditional" Mexican but will suit most American pallets including kids. Try the cantina fajitas and the chorizo cheese dip. Our food was great. Margaritas are also pretty standard but good. Average strength."
"I wasn't too impressed with Rio Cantina. I love the location being so close to the Greenway and the Green Jackets stadium, but the food was lack luster. Not a lot of flavor other than the chips and salsa."
"Went there for lunch and ordered bowl salad with chicken that came with a side of soup. The menu wasn't as descriptive, so I wasn't sure I was going to get. The Salad was ok; it was lettuce, tomatoes, and the seasoned chicken. For some reason I expected more, maybe some beans or avocado on it. The soup was traditional, and I quite enjoyed it! I last ordered the flan, and that was ok. It wasn't as smooth as flan is meant to be and it lacked tinge more sweetness but that's due to the texture. It was served with whipped cream and a chocolate drizzle. The flavor profile was all over the place here. This dish could be improved with a fresh caramel sauce, and some fresh fruit to stay cost effective. Given the location and the price of $15, I was satisfied with the food and experience. I will be coming back again to try other items on the menu."
