"My husband took me to this restaurant and they did not disappoint... I had the wings, fried okra, catfish, and onion rings.... DELICIOUS!!! The ladies was very attentive... They gave hugs and that with my dinner made me feel at home... My new favorite wing spot and my husband favorite breakfast spot..."

"I'm never compelled to leave a review for anything, even if it was a less than desirable experience. This was the one time that service, atmosphere, and food were all above expectation. Upon walking in, it felt like we were showing up to a family gathering more so than a restaurant for food. Everyone was incredibly kind and welcoming, to such a degree I considered asking Mrs. Dee to adopt me as her grandson. She was so sweet with my two girls and wife, always ensured we had what we needed and then some. Another key note is their grits were absolutely top tier. All of the food was delicious but the grits... absolutely the peak of my meal. If you are in the area and are looking for a warm atmosphere and to be taken care of like the favorite child of your family, this is it."

"I am always searching for good food and found my breakfast spot on 421 at Southern Gal. The food is very good and cooked to order. They offer Turkey Sausage Patties as an non pork alternative. Real cracked egg, not the carton, and fresh toast. I see all the great reviews for the French Toast, so I must give it a try. The staff is exceptional, super nice and customer oriented. Not only do they serve breakfast but they serve lunch, as well. If you are looking for your spot for breakfast, look no further than Southern Gal in the Valley"
