"All I can say is WOW!!! The atmosphere was so charming! The staff were so welcoming, especially our server Emily! She was phenomenal! They initially serve you with fresh bread with butter and chicken liver pâté (DELISH), we began with the charcuterie board, our main course was the duck and the shrimp/scallop risotto (both were so good we shared with each other), and we ended with crème brûlée and their chocolate soufflé. And HOLY SMOKES! That soufflé was TO DIE FOR!"
"In all honesty at this price of point there are better options. The food was okay, not great, and some of the servers were well below par. They'll ask if you want bread and then won't bring you any until you remind them. The cocktails are good but that's about it. Like I said at this price point you can get better elsewhere, and certainly a lot more than average service, good but not great food, surrounded by a few faux plants. At this price point it's about the experience as a whole and this place just isn't all that unfortunately."
"Staff and front hostess had excellent customer service. The desserts were amazing. The drinks were great! Only flaw was the appetizers (escargot) and entree (shrimp & scallop risotto) came out luke warm at best. The risotto needed more seasoning as well since it was bland but salt and pepper fixed it up. I will try again for lunch or brunch when I am back in town to see family."
"I wanted to like Bistro55 (I loved Divino’s!) but our experience last night left much to be desired. But we’ll start with the positive- they do offer pâté along with butter for the bread! So if you haven’t tried it before, now is the time. We ordered 2 drinks, but the Manhattan ordered straight up was served with ice in a lowball glass and the Caiprinha was served straight up in a martini glass. The server apologized and said perhaps the owner made the drinks and got them confused. Next we had the Bistro 55 salad, with hearts of palm and artichoke hearts. I was really excited for this one, except it had virtually tasteless viniagarette. It tasted like lettuce in water. After that, we waited over 40 minutes for our entrees (which we had ordered at the same time as the salad)- sole (fish) and seafood risotto. It was painfully awkward to look around at most tables (maybe 8 seated) also without food. The owner did come around to the tables and apologized when I mentioned the time it took to get entrees. The entrees did taste good, though! (The mac and cheese was too salty.)"
"We ordered the lamb entree & the filet - both were phenomenal. Everyone was so friendly & it was truly a lovely evening. It was nice to follow the dinner up with a limoncello & espresso! Would highly recommend this restaurant."
