Reviews of Shealy's Pond Heritage Preserve
"Great lil walk/trail. Not necessarily maintained great as far as branches / limbs, etc. Although totally manageable. Some mud along trail, as expected near the water. No too many bugs on the 70° day we had today. Rather nice. Not too hard to follow, loops rather well either direction. Alltrails has a copy if you just want it because. If you have the ability, bring something to clear a few along the way & it's easy. All rather small limbs and such. Small parking. Info sign / map at head of trail."
"Found this trail on the AllTrails app stating it was an easy hike. It might have been if the trail that led down to the pond was an actual cleared path. The path along the pond was covered in fallen trees, overgrown brush, and mud pits. Once we got back to the top the paths were open and tolerable. I would not revisit."
"Nice little slice of nature. Trail by the water is pretty rugged and overgrown in spots. Trail to the right/straight as you're coming in from the parking area is maintained well and clear of most debris. Not a huge property, took me about 45 minutes to walk the whole thing. Peaceful though."
"Being a Heritage Preserve the trails are supposed to be much less curated than say the Columbia River Walk. My issue with the trail was how much water was involved. You truly need some waterproof shoes/boots to enjoy this trail. Highlights -Not crowded -Cool elevation changes -Climb under/over trees -Pretty shrubbery/trees/pond So either wait for a dry spell or bring water proof foot wear. Be prepared that this trail is very natural as it is supposed to be."
"Me and my husband went fishing and there is so many trees that my line kept gettinf hung up in, didnt have any bites using fake bate. Not sure if they woukd rather have a live worm lol not a bad place to go walk the trail but not an open area really ro fiah"
