"I’ve had Southern Soul cater a banquet before and the service and food quality was great… tonight’s dinner was not the case. I told the fire department to hire them because of my previous experience and I was embarrassed for doing so. They were almost an hour and a half late the cold food, didn’t have plates or bread, and were unapologetic. I know that everyone has a bad day but this was not a low cost meal, I expected better quality."

"We came from Lexington for a doctor's appointment and needed lunch afterwards. I got the country fried steak, Mac & cheese, Jamaican cabbage & corn nuggets. She got fried chicken, rice and gravy, Mac&cheese & collards. Our food was amazing, hot, came out fast and tasted delicious. Our server was great and a sweetheart. We especially loved the Gospel music playing in the restaurant. We'll definitely be back to try the buffet next time. Thank y'all!"

"Firt time here. I ordered over the phone, so I can't say anything about the inside experience. The lady that took my order was extremely nice!!! Very impressed with her customer service. 4 1/2 stars. The food wasn't perfect, but I would definitely recommend the fried chicken and the mac n cheese."
