"First time, went for breakfast, very approachable place with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, counter ordering. Friendly staff and a good menu variety which includes a lot of niche and some local ingredients and, good drip coffee is included in the price. I got the Nash and it was delicious. Visit the jam bar for extra pepper jelly +. Will definitely try out for lunch."
"I don’t know if this pace has been slept on but it’s our first time here and it was great! Came at 0900, not very busy, guys at the register were cool and friendly. Huge menu, breakfast and lunch available, which is something I always like. Food was damn good but you do clean up after yourself which is no big deal. Place is big enough for families and has outside seating."
"I was going to give the restaurant a five star review because the first time that we visited (which was 12/31/23) everything was amazing. The service was good the food was good etc. it was so good that we decided to come back again before heading back home to Georgia. On 1/1/24 the service was horrible. My chicken was burnt, and it just didn’t have the same feel as it did the day before. Also I wanted coffee they were completely out. I was disappointed in that I hate visiting restaurants and there is inconsistency with the food and service."
"We got the shrimp and grits (with the grit cake that we like). It's not our first time trying it. It was saaaalllty! There were only 5 small shrimp and a ton of sausage. The biscuit was delicious as always. We would try it again later. Maybe it was just an off day. This location is pretty spacious with plenty of seating. Including a seasonal outdoor area."
"This was our first time at the Mauldin location, we're usually closer to the Wade Hampton location. The cashier was helpful when I couldn't decide between two options, and patient while I searched for my wallet(FYI- they don't have Google or Apple pay, bring a card or cash). The coffee was hot, the jam bar well stocked, and our food came out quickly. It was delicious. My husband had the Hangover Biscuit and I had the Tito's Burrito with a biscuit side(always get a biscuit so you can visit the jam bar!). The portions are huge and everything I've tried has been yummy. Mavericks is my favorite brunch place and a must-visit for anyone nearby."
