"I wanted this place to be better than it was. It wasn’t nearly as good as average home cooked. When it was empty at 8 pm on Friday, we knew it was a bad sign. Got the pepian chicken - if there is a national dish in Guatemala it is this one. The sauce was kind of gelled and bland, lacking the complex toasted spice I love which define the dish. It was nice to have an authentic Guatemalan beer, though. The Guatemalan tortillas were fresh and tasty, too. (Very different from Mexican tortillas.) These folks need to ask their grandmothers for a recipe or two and try a little harder. And they could be a little less aloof."
"The food was good. We loved the guacamole dip. It was very fresh and had the perfect flavor."
"This place smell horrible like rotten food as soon you walked in the bathroom sink was leaking water. Dont know how this place stays open"
"The food is nasty and the little waitress is as well. I ordered the torta de milanesa and they brought me chicken. Menu clearly says beef. She brought it to the kitchen and came back with it saying the cook said it’s correct. I showed her the menu and they remade it. We ordered a chicken empanada. It was chicken and potatoes and no flavor. Picked it up and it fell apart. Soggy and gross. The tamales are made with rice instead of corn. I was not expecting a gooey mess but that’s what it was. Overall the food was horrible and I don’t recommend it whatsoever."
"My husband loves the food and the people that work their know what i want before i even ask"
