"Course has great views and a great layout! Water descent fairways and tee boxes greens however weren't that good. Very Very Slow should have brought a Mallet. Green didn't seem like they had been rolled as well very bumpy and inconsistent!"

"Expect more for the price point — A challenging and fun layout which values precision over distance. Water often in play so shot placement is key! Fairways and tee boxes are in solid shape, but several greens are under repair, as seen in the photos. Greens are also very slow and I found the attention to detail on the hole cuts to be poor. The largest issue I have is that this course is not worth $188 for the amenities provided to the golfer ($200 after taxes - yikes!) Twilight rates soften the blow but you can expect less staff - no bag drop service, beverage cart, etc. GPS and music in the carts a nice touch, but expected for the price. As I was one of about 3 on the course during the PM, I do wonder how sustainable these price points are. Finally, I had an uncomfortable conversation with the attendant during check-in where I felt lectured on what a military rate is - and isn’t. As a veteran who has spent a lot of $$ at this resort over the years, it made me feel bad for even asking for the discount. I appreciated the rate but I value not being talked down to over saving the $30. Fazio and Jones will continue to be at the top of my list for Palmetto."

"Played here with my son (12 yrs) in the afternoon on 8/2/23. You can play 9 holes on this course after 2:00pm which is right in his wheel house. Course was in good condition, considering it's summer and there are a few places that are under repair; but nothing that gets in the way of play. We frequent HHI annually, but this was my first time playing here. Staff was great, Ernie in the pro shop was awesome, hooked my son up at the end of our round. Great time, treated well, we will return."
