"Dr Gails was awful with my husband. He doesn't care his patients and if the patient don't have more treatment he just recommend another faclity and wash his hands. My Lord will take care of him. He dare to tell my husband do not go to MUSC. Why? Because his stupid ego. My husband still alive because the awesome doctors at MUSC. Why Roper keeping Gails? We don't want to know anything with Roper. We are done with them."
"There is a huge opportunity for improvement on the infusion side. Most times, patients are wating 15-20 minutes after their scheduled appointment time to get checked in. Due to front desk staff not arriving to work on time! After you get called to the back, there is another 30 minute wait to get your infusion medication from the pharmacy. No sense of urgency in regards to appointment times."
"I hate to leave one star since the staff has always been pleasant. - but this goes out to specifically Dr. Geils. Never in my life have I been treated so terribly by a doctor. Our first appointment a few months ago, he was patient, caring and answered all of my questions. Fast forward to todays visit, he was like a completely different doctor. He contradicted everything he had stated during our first appointment & any concerns I had - he acted like I was inconveniencing him. Definitely an awful experience & there is zero chance I’d recommend this provider to anyone."
"Dr Geils is very committed to treating his patients. However, he is a my way or highway type of personality. It’s my opinion he lacks empathy for his patients. When I ask questions his body language projects he is annoyed. Case in point when he told me I had a prognosis of a year maybe two, he said it as a matter of factly and then walked out the room. Never once asking if you would like to talk to a counselor. When I read his summary notes from my visits he uses words like discussed in detail snd at length. That is an overstatement to say the least. He’s never spent more than 5 minutes when he comes in to exam me. I believe he is committed to treating his patients but empathy and compassion are not is strong suit. That’s my experience with him."
"The docs and staff are great. My problem is they are always late. 40 minutes waiting for a scheduled appt. now here for infusion at 845am and its now 9:18am and still in waiting room. Understanding cancer care that people have a lot of questions. Book accordingly pls."
