Sleep Inn Savannah Gateway I-95

"WHAT. A. DUMP!! They are “under construction”, which I understand, but what reputable construction company does not pick up after themselves at the end of every day? Bags of garbage outside, general trash on the ground, paint spattered all over sidewalks. The room was ok. The flip lock clasp on the door was broken off. The room may have been renovated, BUT…there was paint spatter on toilet, on the blow dryer, in the chair, and in the curtains. Dust from sanding filled the curtains. The TV screen had smears all over it from the construction The water in the shower was lukewarm at best, with a crack in the shower floor. Also, NO breakfast even though we went down at 0820…not sure if they had a little something before then? We have stayed at several Sleep Inns and have always been very happy, but something tells me even after the construction it isn’t going to be a very nice facility. That construction company has no idea what they are doing. The hotel obviously went for the lowest bid! Do NOT stay here!! Pay a little extra money and stay elsewhere…you get what you pay for, and they were CHEAP!"

"Front check in staff was very friendly and efficient. Rom was clean and met our needs. Have not had breakfast yet, but I assume that it will be as good as most Sleep Inn's"

"This past week was one of the worst experience I've ever had staying in one of choice hotels. Day 1 the hotel looks nothing like on the app when I booked. Nothing on the app or site says they are remodeling. The floors had the worst stains in the carpet. The room we stayed in had unpainted walls, the bathroom door was off track, could not close. The smoke detector was not installed. The bathroom light did not come on, the cover of the bathroom light was not on. The TV was nearly broken. I asked for another room and the front desk personnel all of them speak English but do not believe in greeting anyone. Morning, noon or night. They were very rude. This place was very depressing. I feel choice should give me even more points. Refund some of my money or something. This was definitely not fair. Yes I don't mind giving my name Curtis Williams I am a Diamond member but didn't feel like one."

"Place needs a massive update. The carpets down the hallway are old and stained. Someone dropped a piece of laundry on stairs, and it stayed there for TWO DAYS.... pure laziness on staff to ensure cleanliness. None of the rooms i saw being cleaned and including mine didn't match the photos at all. There was a rollback dumpster over flowing with trash and smelled horrible near the back door. People came in and out and laid items to block the door open. People in the room below me were going in and out of the window. There were no grab and go items for breakfast. The room was better than some I have stayed in. Pillows need to be replaced, flat and lumpy. There was evidence of things that had been removed from walls in the past as holes were not patched. One spot near the window had visible damage like a removable hook was placed and ripped off the wall."
