"Dr. Cotter is very professional and understanding. I am super, super nervous about dental pain to the point of anxiety just thinking about it because of a bad experience with another dentist however, Dr. Cotter listened to me and explained everything and checked on me during the whole procedure (re-treatment root canal and bone infection) which was a result of a previous root canal gone wrong and improper fitting of a crown. I did not feel any pain during the procedure and by the time I got home my medication he called in was ready at the pharmacy. I am very, very pleased with Dr. Cotter and his staff and the office. The world of dentistry has been saved! Thank you Dr. Cotter and staff! It was well worth the 4 hour round trip!"

"Hands down...The Best Endodontic Doctor in Mt. Pleasant/Charleston! From the time I entered their office, I saw state of the art Medical Equipment/X-Rays etc and Dr.Cotter's staff had/s a genuine warmth that I was looking for. There was a brilliant choice of music playing - spa like that sets you in a comfortable state. During our consultation, Dr. Cotter was extremely thorough and discussed what he would be during. And then during the root canal, he continuously checked with me to make sure I was doing well or if I had any questions. Great Compassion! This root canal was seamless and painless and for me, Dr. Cotter and his staff checked every box of "Excellence"! Well Done!"

"I never write reviews, but the experience I had with Dr. Cotter and his team was 5-star. My dentist recommended 2 other offices and neither could see me for over a week. I googled Endodontics and Mt. P Endo came up, I called, told them I was in pain, leaving for vacation out of the country in less than a week and they got me in on Monday when I called on a Friday. Needed a root canal but due to my trip, Dr. Cotter went in, removed the bad nerve, filled the cavity with medicine to ensure I didn’t have any issues while I was away. The rest of the procedure was done when I returned and the entire process was pain free with a Doctor that is incredibly kind, thoughtful and needless to say, skillful. "Today I completed my third and final(!) appointment for an emergency root canal at Mount Pleasant Endodontics, a process that began several weeks ago. From my very first encounter with Dr. Michael Cotter and his staff, I was so very impressed with the level of care and incredible professionalism by everyone on the team. After contacting my regular dentist (Assey Dental Associates) who were also so very professional and gracious to squeeze me in at the end of a full working day (Thank you Dr. Ashley!) , they recommended a consult with an endodontist. They referred me to Mount Pleasant Endodontics and despite the hour approaching 5pm, they agreed to see me on that very same day! Dr. Cotter did a full and comprehensive evaluation of the problem I was having and the likely cause. He clearly laid out the options I had and explained the process that would be necessary to address my problem. When I agreed to proceed, and asked when we could start, he stated he wouldn’t think of sending me home in pain and he would begin the process immediately. At this point it was well past 6pm and unfortunately, it required one of his assistants to stay and work some additional time, which she graciously agreed to as well. I was so very impressed, when he should great consideration for his employee and asked her to only to help with the prep work, and then sent her home to her family and completed the work himself. At the end of the first session, he gave me his cell number and asked me to check in with him at any point if the pain returned, which fortunately it did not. I don’t normally write reviews on social media (as you can probably tell from the excessive and probably unnecessary details I provided above) but, if you unfortunately are in need of an endodontist, I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Cotter and his team as Mount Pleasant Endodontics! The level of compassion, care, and empathy for me as a patient serves as a gentle but necessary reminder of the level of care that, what was at one time commonly offered by many in the profession, but these days has become a rarity. "I needed a second opinion for a root canal and couldn’t have been happier with both Dr Kent and Dr Cotter! You won’t be disappointed by anything at this practice. The receptionist is lovely, the environment is relaxing, and the doctors are incredibly skillful and kind. While all these procedures are costly, I found the price to be VERY reasonable for the value of their dental services. 5-star isn’t a high enough rating! Even if your tooth can’t be saved, you are coming to the best endodontists to help solve your issue. Thanks again!"
