"There’s really just nothing like having a local home town pharmacy to count on. Many people worry about prescription health care. We absolutely never worry about rx issues with Blythewood pharmacy. Always on top of everything. Very Grateful for these folks!!"
"Update: 12/22/23 And here I thought I'd found a different place than all the chains or nail orders...NOPE! Called at 3 or 3:30 pm asking about a prescription I'd been trying to get for over a week & the doctor had to cancel at Mail order due to their issues. "Oh yeah, we have the scripts & meds...give us an hour & we'll have them ready for pick up!" 2 hours later: yeah, your doctor needs to call us & say it's okay to sell them to you, but it's after 5 pm now on a holiday weekend so you're out of luck, so sorry...(THAT'S WHY I CALLED 3 HOURS BEFORE!) No better than chain stores & less reliable than ANY pharmacy I've ever worked in or had the displeasure of being a patient. But I don't need any meds over the holiday that I've been working to get transferred for 2 weeks & been out of for a week. Sure, you can enjoy YOUR holiday...no need for me to rry & enjoy mine! Lacy, the Pharmacist, was extremely friendly, patient, & kind when I had some questions about my medication & the pharmacy. This was my first time using any type of local/community-owned pharmacy vs a big box chain. I was pleasantly surprised & pleased at the kindness & judgment-free answers I received along with the knowledgeable & thorough information regarding my new medication. Ms. Lacy put my mind at ease regarding my new medication change, especially knowing my med history & health history! I will be recommending Blythewood Pharmacy for any & all medication needs from here on out!"
"I always got my medications from here because they are local. they would sometimes tell me my prescriptions were filled but I would get there and they would not be which was somewhat annoying because I would have to wait. When I needed refills I would usually have to end up calling my doctor even though they said they would fax asking for a refill (I don’t know if that was on the doctor or if Blythewood never did it) but it also was annoying. This one lady at the checkout was rude usually but she didn’t work all the time and everyone else was nice."
"I was hesitant to leave this review, but felt people who use this pharmacy and may be considering using it needed to be aware of how one of its pharmacists interacts with customers. I’ve been a customer of various pharmacies throughout my life and have never experienced the unprofessionalism that I did yesterday (August 12). My primary pharmacy could no longer dispense a three-month supply of a medication because of a change in store policy. They suggested I check with other pharmacies to see if it was possible through someone else. The first pharmacy I reached out to was the Blythewood Pharmacy because I knew they had dispensed this medication in three-month supplies in the past. I called the pharmacy on multiple occasions but each time, the lead compounding pharmacist was not available and she was the person who needed to answer my question. Initially, I was told she would call me but to call back if she didn't. I never received a call from the compounding pharmacist so told to do, I called back and wound up speaking to the same person who advised me initially. She said she would have thought the lead person would have contacted me by now. She gave me some information about her discussion with the pharmacist but told me it would be best if I talked with her directly. She said she would ask her to call me again but to call back if I hadn't heard anything. Once again, I never received a call. So as told to do, I called back and was told she wasn't there again. This time, the pharmacist (not in the compounding lab) asked to help me but ultimately said I needed to speak with the person I've been trying to reach. She even gave me her next day working (Fri, Aug 12) and told me the hours to call back. (The two people I spoke with above were extremely polite and professional. I very much appreciated their efforts to help.) Friday, August 12: Because of an appointment that morning, I wasn’t able to call right away. But I did get a text message from “Blythewood Pharmacy” at 11 AM stating that they didn’t have the medication I was requesting. I wasn’t sure who sent the text since no name was attached, but for me, that was basically all I needed to know. However, the message continued with this line: “Please do not reach out to us about this in the future.” I was confused and a little taken aback by this message. I was thinking maybe it was something that maybe had been mistyped or misinterpreted by a voice-to-text translation. Regardless I didn’t feel comfortable with the message and I wanted clarification. So I called the pharmacy and they transferred me to the head compounding pharmacist (mind you, this is the FIRST time I ever talked with her). I told her my name and was about to ask for clarification about the text, when she interrupted me, stating something along these lines: “We do not have your medication. You have continued to call the pharmacy over and over. We will not do anything to help you. Do not call here again.” And before I could even say anything, she hung up on me. This whole exchange stayed with me throughout the day. I’ve never been spoken to this way by anyone from a pharmacy or actually anyone who is supposed to provide services to customers. It was rude, unprofessional and something I will be reporting to the BBB. No one else needs to deal with this kind of a response or behavior. I honestly was frustrated by the lack of communication and answers about my initial request from the pharmacy and was about to give up calling, but everyone seemed helpful and told me to call back – so I did. And it all paid off with an inappropriate text and call – and being hung up on. Do yourself a favor and avoid this happening to you. I would strongly recommend not using this pharmacy if you have to interact with this person in the compounding department."
"I just love this pharmacy! I am a walking medicine closet with the amount of meds I need to take. They are a small “hometown” pharmacy, and know a lot of customers by name. If they see you searching for something they gladly assist you. The pharmacists are friendly, helpful and competent. I also like getting their prompt texts when my prescriptions are ready for pick up! Highly recommend !!"
