"It's our 2nd time here (once 4 years ago for lunch and this time for dinner) and they knocked my socks off! I cannot we have not been here for dinner before!!! Last week, I came home from work to no power in Tryon so we looked for a place to grab a bite at 7pm and found Stone Soup was open (which for a Monday in our area is a miracle!). I didn't realize they did dinner either. We were seated in the enclosed patio area which was so lovely and service was wonderful & attentive. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming and just a all around great place. I ordered the everything bagel pizza which was fabulous! They bagel seasoning to the warm ricotta globs to the fresh mounds of garlic to the perfectly done fire grilled crust, I enjoyed it all. My hubby had the sausage calazone which I tasted it if course!) and I loved the sausage paired with the gorgonzola. So well balanced! I look forward to returning to enjoy other pizzas and bring home some of their pre-made meals!"
"Why is this my first time here? The food was spectacular, and I only had a “modest” lunch. Had their Blueberry Pecan Chicken Salad Wrap, their steakhouse chicken salad and finished off with a REMARKABLE crème brûlée. The bar looks inviting too. Highly recommended."
"Our first visit here and will absolutely be back. Autumn was our very informative and friendly server. She told us about customer faves and even shared her fave picks on the menu. My husband and I couldn't go wrong with the salmon and shrimp and grits. Delicious is and understatement. I literally did a happy dance in my seat when I took the first few bites! Oh and we had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer. That is a Must get! Truly heavenly and the dollop of red pepper jelly makes you scrape your fork on the plate to get every morsel. There is a wide variety on the menu including vegan and gluten free options as well as a very good looking pizza menu. Beer and wine are available. Desserts are too. We did carryout of bourbon bread pudding (a big winner) and Dutch apple (which had too much nutmeg for me). There is a section dedicated to premades in refrigerator and freezers that look delicious. It included casseroles, soups and desserts. I believe the restaurant has been there over 20 years. Support local and try it out. We will definitely be back. P. S. There is a nice fenced in dog park behind the restaurant and outdoor tables. We went on a cold rainy day but clearly there's a spot for dogs."
"Alex was a really cool guy. he was very attentive to my excessive water needs. he remembered things about our party of six needs and made the experience fun and enjoyable for us all. The food was delicious. We’re coming back again for takeout during the Chiefs game."
"Great restaurant! The food was excellent, flies were a pain. We enjoyed an appetizer and bottle of wine, before moving on to lunch. Our waitress was great, we instructed her to take her time bringing food and that she did! The only thing I did not like was eating soup from a coffee mug. They have many choices to dine on property. Inside, outside (covered/uncovered). You can also purchase items from the retail store inside. We certainly will be back!"
