Publix Pharmacy at Mauldin Square

"4 stars for being super friendly, but deducting one star for being a little slow on turnaround time. I switched my pharmacy to here because I grocery shop here and it's convenient. Plus I hate CVS and only go there if it's my last resort. Everyone here is super friendly and conversational, but when I put in a prescription refill it's not uncommon for it to take 2-3 days before it's filled. When your need is more urgent, and you're waiting on meds for your sick kid, this is not ideal!"

"I’ve tried and been through some ringers with several pharmacies since my diagnosis. I am so grateful I landed here. It has been several months with them and I have been beyond satisfied. I used to feel like I had to make monthly phone calls, check on stock, and otherwise stay “on top” of the pharmacies…. And it was so stressful. Publix has been so kind and patient with me, no one ever gives me an attitude when I have to ask a question. They’re friendly, on top of their patients … make sure the scripts are filled on time, or are diligent in getting it filled asap if not available (shortage) no matter what that takes. And communication is SO good, I’ve been able to relax and don’t really feel the need to call anymore. It’s been amazing! Getting meds is stressful enough, esp when it’s not readily available. They ease that stress so much! 5 stars isn’t enough."

"Not horrible, but also not a great experience. I formerly used another Publix location but changed to this one after moving closer. I find the staff at this one to not be overly friendly, and they frequently don’t seem eager to help. Sometimes I have almost felt they are suspicious of me based on how they talk to me and that they ask for verification over and over again, rather than just once. I will be changing back to my previous location where I know the staff. At that location, they are always very happy to see me, and it is a pleasure to go there."

"I prefer the Publix pharmacy to the drugstore chain pharmacies. The staff at the Mauldin location is nice and helpful. My prescriptions always cost the same for the same medication/quantity. So Publix is the best choice for me at this time. At CVS I paid 7 or 8 different prices for the same prescription. It was ridiculous and when I finally asked why this is, the only person who knew what to do and why it was happening was the actual pharmacist. I can’t expect the pharmacist to run the entire pharmacy alone. So I’m with Publix now."

"I've gone through an exhausting sequence of pharmacy troubles the last week, all leading up to nearly being deprived of a whole 1/3rd of my monthly prescription. I thought that everything had worked out when the Publix Rx said they had what I needed, but I received a call about an hour after dropping off my Rx that my insurance would only cover 2/3rds. They presented the costs for the full Rx and the partial, and, working with the limited amount of information they provided, I chose the cheaper insurance option. What they did NOT express to me was that forfeiting the remaining amount meant I would NOT be able to fulfill the remainder within the span of 30 DAYS, thus being shorted for 1/3rd of my required medication. Obviously, if I'd known the real choice was about having enough Rx for a month, I would have chosen to have the correct amount. On top of all that, they were incorrect about my insurance's coverage and did not follow the proper procedure to request an override, which would have allowed me to purchase all of my Rx with insurance. DO NOT go here for an important Rx! Seek a pharmacy that has a good working relationship with your doctor's office."
