Reviews of Bonaventure, Historic Savannah, Low Country & Private with Shannon Scott Tours
"I highly recommend this tour and any others this company offers. Paschal, our tour guide, was one of the best, if not the best, guide we have ever had. We talked about Bonaventure Cemetery for hours afterwards. So interesting! It's also a beautiful park that you'll enjoy."
"If you have ever wanted to see Bonaventure Cemetery in the dark, legally, this is your tour! Shannon Scott is extremely knowledgeable about the history of the cemetery and many of the "residents". There was so much information shared I wish there was a tour manual to go along with the visit because it is hard to remember everything that was shared during the actual tour. If you would like learn more about Bonaventure than I recommend this tour for you! If you have never seen Bonaventure in the daylight, I recommend that visit first. *Important note: Use the bathroom before you arrive at the cemetery. The tour starts immediately. We had a man in our tour group who urinated during the visit, in front of my children."
"We only had one snafu and that was the app direct us to the wrong meeting spot. But once that was taken care of the tour is fantastic, probably the best thing we did in Savannah this trip. Our guide was amazing very informative.can’t remember his name but we took the tour November 7th at 10am. The guide moved us at a good pace, and was mindful of the other tours going on so we wouldn’t be having to stain to hear over another group. I would highly recommend this tour and look forward to coming back to do this tour again."
"Our guide, Ken, was a true southern gentleman that made us northerners feel right at home as he shared the history of his hometown. We loved hearing and “seeing” the stories the monuments (or, sadly, those monuments that have gone missing) told of Savannah’s history. We appreciated that this was a reverent retelling of history, not a “ghost tour”. I recommend this tour to anyone not yet familiar with this beautiful site, which is easily accessible in the historic district."
"We booked a full day private tour with Shannon while we were in Savannah for our honeymoon and it was such a great experience! He took the time before our tour to understand what we were interested in, and then customized the tour to include those places. We learned so much and had a great time! We even had the best lunch of our entire trip at a place we would never have even known about. The tour vehicle was extremely comfortable and there was bottled water, bug spray, and an umbrella for us (which we thankfully didn’t need!). If you are looking for something more in depth than the 45 min - 2 hour group tours that are primarily available, I highly recommend Shannon! It was by far the best tour we did on our trip!!!"
