"Cool stop to see remnants of the Spanish-American War, if you are close. Tour guides are available on the weekend, so be sure that if you want more than self-guided, you come Friday - Sunday."
"Beautiful and historical. Yes there is beach access in the back. Bring bug spray if you are staying."
"This wonderful piece of South Carolina history is beautifully preserved. This fort is an iconic landmark for the Spanish American War. The visitor center has some models of how the original fort was armed, as well as some models of the original surounding buildings. The movie about the fort explains the importance and the history of Fort Fremont. One very unique aspect of this fort is the beach access. The beach at Fort Fremont is beautiful. There are some fantastic pieces of driftwood. I highly recommend visiting this historic point of interest. Admission is free. There are picnic tables, and there are restrooms in the visitor center."
"It's worth a short visit. Beautiful area and facilities have been recently upgraded. Small beach is attached and is very picturesque. Museum is only open on weekends"
"Awesome place to explore. Museum is great and takes you back in time. If your anywhere down that way, go and enjoy the fort. Big and very nice picnic area to use."
