"We walked the trail and the boardwalk. It was a nice natural area and there were lots of interesting insects - daddy longlegs, large dragonflies (friendly too), damselflies, and more. However, there was one demonic bug: the deerfly. These bugs are uncontrollable so don't come after 5:00 PM unless you can deal with them."
"Nice, short wetland trail, less than two miles long. Lots of signs and benches that look very very old. Bring bug spray, I came in December and so got bit by mosquitoes. There's a sign that says it's closed on July 30th, so don't come here on that date, I guess?"
"I liked it a lot but it was pretty buggy and lots of spider webs there happened to be a downed tree on one of the bridges which would have been difficult to pass with children luckily I was solo!"
"Driving from Charleston to Savannah with my pups and needed to stop for my pups to go to the bathroom. I saw this nature center and decided to pull over here. I didn't expect this Edisto Nature Center is so clean!! It is also unique with wooden walking paths which kept my pups' little paws cleaner than walking on muddy trails. We only walked about 0.37 miles round trip. If I planned in advance and mapped it out, I would have walked further. This is such a nice park to hike. There was a sign saying that this site is monitored with security camera. I hope so because it is pretty quiet when I stopped by. I'm not sure how popular this Nature Center is."
"Great trails! Take a picture of the map at the trail head so you don't get confused as you go. Definitely bring bug spray in warm weather. Giants of the forest and amazing beauty surround you in this boardwalk abundant trail. Hidden gem."
