SpringHill Suites by Marriott Orangeburg

"Staff was friendly and rooms were nice but they were pretty dirty. There was mold in the showers and mold growing on the wallpaper. There were also some mysterious stains near the closet that I’d rather not know what they are tbh. We stopped for one night on a road trip and I’ve stayed at this chain of hotels before never having had an issue but this one was pretty dirty ."

"They knew we had 5 people yet didn't have sheets , blankets, and pillows for pullout bed. Only three shower towels. Room smelled bad also... building is well lit and looks very nice.. workout room, pool etc, breakfast..."

"I checked into the Springhill Suites on Thur eve. I am a Marriott Rewards Platinum member and recently stayed a SS in Ill on business. Well this recent experience fails miserably in comparison to my last visit! The very first night I wanted to call down to the front office to let them know the television did not change channels, but the phone had no dial tone. I walked down to the front desk to let the receptionist know what my issue was. Dawn came to my room and addressed the issue about 10 min later. Not bad. There were station announcements regarding tornadoes in the area on Sat. Again, I mentioned it to the front desk who said, 'well we had to put a request in for a technician. They'll get to it when they can.' That was Sat. Fast forward to today Tuesday, I stopped at the front desk after work at 5p, asked about changing my room because there is an odor in my room as well in addition to having no phone. 'Sorry, we don't have any rooms' (nonchalantly) was the response though that morning Debra at the front desk told me there were rooms being cleaned for new guests and that she would have something after 3p. Which is it? That's OK I booked elsewhere for the remainder of my visit in Orangeburg!"

"This place and staff are awesome. We had about 30 family members that stayed there for my mom's celebration of life service and burial. It was convenient to where we needed to go . And the nade sure that we were all taken care of during our stay. Breakfast was very good and the breakfast gals was so friendly and helpful. The only thing that I can say that was a turn off for me us no coffee all day long. As a gm for a hotel chain that is a must in my hotels rather it is or us not a brand standard or not. It's all about the home feel,a welcoming aroma,I highly recommend that very hotel do this one thing that your guest will remember and appreciate. Even try setting cookies out for your guest which I choose to call my extended family. We are in the hospitality business,you would offer someone something to drink if they came to your home wouldn't you? Well I do anyway ! I would highly recommend you to stay there if ever in this area. Pool very nice a clean."

"We were passing through town and needed a night to stay. Of course I was hesitant never being here before. To my surprise this place looks new and is very clean. The rooms are over sized, modern, and again very clean. Staff was good nothing over the top there but they did their job. The included breakfast was good. They had all the basics and even extras which was a very nice touch. The parking lot looks like a football stadium at night so security wasn't an issues at all. All and all I would highly recommend this hotel. I rarely leave reviews so this should tell you something. Don't hesitate if you are reading this, you won't regret it. Lastly, there is a Cracker Barrel next door so food needs are there plus a half a dozen other hotels on this block. It's right off the interstate so it's convenient."
