Sun Ming Chinese Restaurant

"I wish I could give this place ZERO stars! I am from Los Angeles where good Chinese food is practically on every corner. Unfortunately since moving to South Carolina I have yet to find ONE decent Chinese restaurant. As for Sun Ming, it used to be fairly decent about 5 years ago. Now it tastes like Costco could do better! The egg roll I received was stale and probably bad, so I didn't eat it because I didn't want to take the risk of food poisoning! The General Tsao's chicken I ordered was cold and had probably been left over from someone else's order from the previous day. Needless to say, I won't be back. I will just have to move back to the EXPENSIVE West Coast if I want to eat good. I am a foodie, so food matters to me. It's just unfortunate I didn't take that into consideration before moving to what I thought was a cheap and affordable state. For now, I will just drive the 2.5 hours to Charlotte (North Carolina) for some decent Chinese food. Or Atlanta (3 hours drive). The End"

"Christmas tradition is to eat Chinese and Sun Ming is hands down the best in the Columbia area. Everything is prepared to order and there is NO buffet. They offer the expected Americanized Chinese restaurant choices but also offers authentic Chinese cuisine. I always order at least one item from the authentic choices. Everything was exceptional and portions are large. I had plenty of leftovers. Will be back."

"U heard Great things about this restaurant. So i defineltey wanted to give them a try. I ordered the bourbon chicken with chicken fried rice and 6 wings. The bourbon chicken was good. The food was hot and full of flavor. I’ll rate it a 7 out of 10. The wings were dry and were not satisfactory. I requested for them to be cooked soft because i don’t like crispy wings, however they were crispy. I would give them a 4 out of 10. The highlight was definelty the chicken fried rice. It was really good. Very fresh and full of flavor. It was cooked to order still hot upon 25 min pick up. The onions and everything added to this delectable stir fry. I would give the rice a 10 out of 10. I also didn’t like that the white sauce was 3$ just for one cup of sauce. I would think with the order of bourbon chicken, it would be at least one courtesy however, the sauce was not included. Also, the price I paid over $30 for these small items. I don’t think it was worth the price. Overall, this is why my overall experience was three stars I would definitely try them again to see if there is other things I would like on the menu or maybe on this particular night the food wasn’t superb. I will try again and look forward to updating my rating."

"On the search for good Chinese food we have found out spot! If you’ve ever had Chinese American in a city with a China town this is it. They have family style dining or you can order individually but I recommend getting a few dishes to share as a family. Green beans and chicken were excellent, the pork chow fun (wide noodle) is a must try, the only low were the fried wontons. Next time we have to try the soups and a beef dish. Definitely worth a visit of you are in the mood for good ole classic American Chinese."

"Whyyyyy have I never been here before. Good, clean, fresh chines food. Not all the heavy soy sauce and fillers. This chicken and broccoli is heavenly, I didn't even need the rice but it's good. The pepper steak is tender and you get soooo much. The teriyaki beef is the best we've had. Now the chicken wings and wontons were a little hard for my liking but the chicken tastes good. The wontons, I could do without. Will definitely be back, next time we'll share an entree. This is a lot of food. Everything came out fast and hot."
