I hope that you have enough patience and faith that you can find another Garden ad litem that would do their job for both parents and the child. The child is the most important aspect, but when you deal with Eric Durand you're dealing with a snake and a manipulator. I felt sorry for Eric Durand during his time working for my son and my son's mother because his wife had cancer and passed away.. But I actually now feel like his wife is in a much much better place than to deal with a greedy, manipulative snake and that she would no longer have to live our deal with Eric Durand...... because he's greedy, selfish, and a manipulative CON-ARTIST........HE'S all about money and he doesn't do anything for the mother or the father, Or the families. Just read the reviews from other clients. The truth are not rumors when more than one person has the same complaint about you. BELIEVE IT........So this review is to warn you that Eric Durand is only about money and that's it . He is a selfish manipulative greedy guy and he uses the legal system to try to take you to court for more money. Whether you can pay it or not or you have it or not, HE DOESN'T CARE. So again do yourself and family a huge favor. And hire someone WORTH hiring do not hire this man because he's selfish, he's greedy, he's manipulative, and he's A CON-ARTIST. And a real snake. As I said it in my earlier review. I felt sorry for him when his wife died of cancer. But she's actually she's the lucky and blessed one. To no longer have to deal with the CANCER ERIC DURAND is and the snake of a person he is. Do yourself a favor and hire someone that's about family not someone that's about money and doesn't get you any results except a high bill.Do yourself and your family a favor. Hire someone that's not going to gouge you for money and do nothing for your case or your family, your children or your situation."

"Reviews Eric Durand and a custody case that he made personal and instead of doing what was right for the kid he made it personal about his thoughts and feelings because he didn't get his money on time. Which he later ended up getting his money so you need to hire a guardian that cares about the kid or kids. and not so much the money.. the business is about making sure the kids are okay not about lining your pockets and not returning phone calls about just lining your pockets. And you only cater to who pays you first."

"Just …no. In the case of his “pro bono” work i have to say you get what you pay for. Also lying does not win a case. Especially when the other side had rampant proof, Durand practices running ahead of the opposition to fill the Judges & GAL’s ear full of lies instead of doing any real work. Dude, didn’t you realize how foolish you were going to look when the indisputable proof, affidavits, & polygraphs came out? Lawyers can’t win a case based completely on lies. (although they all lie as expected). Btw your client had a hot warrant out for her arrest during the entire court case. Which I called on and reported where she could be found shortly after we won. She was arrested the next day. You are an awful person with zero regard for children’s safety and a poor attorney at best imo. smh. This guy is now a GAL which actually terrifies me for the children he is supposed to be there for. He has proven he has zero conscience for the welfare of children in my dealings with him."

"deserves 0, because that is the effort he made for my son. Simple child visitation right case and he totally botched it, complying with every demand of the other lawyer. The ex wife moves away w/o notice or giving info or visitation rights. We had to be the one hire the detective to find where she moved, because he wouldn't. This lawyer couldn't even do a record search to discover that she had remarried. (blindsided in court by that fact). My son was never abusive in any way to his son and gets the book thrown at him. You are better off representing yourself than using this lawyer. And he is all about the money and very rude."

"Eric Durand I do not recommend. My son had court on truancy charges, he was paid $1000 retainer fee and we never heard from him again. He wouldn’t answer my calls, return my calls, emails, texts. I even went to his office on north Rhett and the lady said he’s busy and will be busy for awhile and I could leave my name and number. When we went to court, he never showed up. So he basically robbed us of $1000 If I could put 0 stars I would. It’s wrong what he does and not right"
