"ZERO STARS!! Moving our stuff from CT to CA was a nightmare thanks to Rapid Relocations. We basically paid them to lose and break our belongings. I really doubt the good reviews here... since there is no way to contact them, the phone is never answered, no email, they deleted the facebook account. This company is a scam. The owner "Sam" blocked me and my husband right after offering to pay 600 usd for all the stuff they lost, he was very understanding at the beginning but then he disappeared, blocked us and We NEVER got paid. I could understand if they'd break a plate or a glass, but they lost our Sofa!! (they only delivered the four feet as you can see in the picture!) the movers even tried to leave someone else's sofa, the bottom part of our bed, the tempered glass of our coffee table (the coffee table was also damaged as seen on the picture, and they wrapped it!), a piece of our dining table, they lost my husband's grandfather's handmade wooden side table, a full size wooden mirror, They lost 6 boxes, one of them with books and my husband's high school year book, a box with beer steins I brought from Germany 16 years ago and Rapid Relocations managed to lose them, a box with pillows and blankets, a box with winter accessories, 3 picture boxes. Damaged items? Pieces of China (you can see in the picture how they put heavy weight on FRAGILE BOXES as labeled), a computer Monitor, a desk, a computer, a lamp. This has been a MAJOR loss. We paid them at the end 3,751 usd. For what? We had to buy ourselves a new sofa, a new bed, a new dining table, new coffee table, new mirror, a new monitor and sofort. We were charged for the truck to deliver to our apartment an extra 400 usd with someone else's stuff. We won't be able to retrieve our belongings, but at least we can prevent other people to make the same mistake of hiring them, through J&J moore nationwide. We tried to file a complaint with the shady insurance company, there was no way to communicate with them, impossible to send the document with the amount of broken and damaged items, sent it 3 different ways. We even bothered to send the complaint by mail, paid to ship it overnight, we haven't heard from them for months. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY USING THIS COMPANY, AVOID HEADACHES AND TIME TRYING TO COMMUNICATE WITH THEM. AVOID THEM AT ALL COST!!!! Trust your belongings to a company that actually cares and is professional. Rapid Relocations is not the case."
"These people are crooks. They lost some of my furniture AND I HAVE SOMEONE ELSE'S. I told them that I have this antique framed photo of what is clearly someone else's grandmother or great grandmother as well as pieces of furniture (a huge mirror that connects to an armoire and glass). They did not respond and thus refused to come pick it up and haven't told me where some of my furniture is. I am putting the furniture pieces on the curb for trash today, but I've held onto this old photograph because it seems irreplaceable. IF ITS YOURS, LET ME KNOW. Otherwise, it's going to the curb too. That's just the start. First, I got a moving quote from a company that called itself "preferred movers." It turns out that they were just impersonating another moving company that did not have a record of my move. These guys showed up with a contract that said "Rapid Relocations" and I said "I thought you were preferred movers." They responded that they were "preferred." They doubled the quote after putting my stuff on their truck and refused to take it off, then held my belongings hostage. This was a disaster of a move. They were completely non-responsive. They left all of their packing material and did not unwrap my belongings. I will be pursuing charges against them with the Department of Transportation. Also, I believe that all these "5 star reviews" are fake. It seems curious to me that they have only 5's and 1's???"
"This company is what is known in the moving industry as a “Shady Mover”. They will manipulate you into signing their contract and then your items may very well end up in some warehouse. In my case, they took my property and then informed me on the date of delivery that they didn’t actually move them anywhere. They stuck them in a warehouse a couple miles from the pickup spot and did nothing whatsoever to inform me. My move is literally going to take over a month because of their dishonest and lazy practices. Update: I finally received part of my inventory a month and a half later. There were multiple boxes missing and damage to a majority of the items. Some of that was water damage, meaning they stored my items in their warehouse where it was allowed so sit with water for long periods of time. A nightmare to say the least."
"I’m only giving them one star because 0 stars are not an option. I cannot express the frustration that rapid relocations has put myself and my roommates through. They ILLEGALLY held our belongings hostage in a public storage for 3 months. 3 months without beds after a long move from New York to Arizona. They came to the house and suddenly our stuff was not going to be priced off of weight but solely cubic feet at this point. Mind you, we shipped out an abundance of boxes and sold large furniture so that our weight would fit the allotted estimation. My first red flag was that one of these movers had to be reminded by his colleague to label our boxes so that they wouldn’t get lost or misplaced. But with our big move in 2 days we could only have faith that it would all get there. We set the bar too high. Fast forward to when everything was in the truck, it’s not measured by weight anymore but it’s by cubic feet. The guy must have superb vision to estimate that we took up $4000 more space than initially expected. So we argue with him and the owner a bit, pay them $1200 to ensure that it goes to Arizona and hope for the best. Again, too much high hopes for these crooks. So when these guys show up 2 weeks later with our stuff, they won’t even open up the truck without payment. And initially stated we were supposed to pay once everything was in the house and we could determine that everything was there and in good condition. Nope. Called the police. Contacted lawyers. Thankfully an agent from the FMCSA helped us after 3 months locate it by going around the moving company. Nearly everything is damaged. A lot of things lost. Don’t waste your time with them. Im still not even through with all of the paperwork that has to be assessed for what they put us through."
"Rapid Relocations made my move from NY to AL a breeze, I truly couldn’t be happier! The employees at this company especially Sammy provided a stress free experience for me. They are extremely reliable and picked up my belongings exactly at the time scheduled and delivered my things to Alabama several days sooner than anticipated! I was starting a new job and was worried of not having enough time to set up my new apartment so I expressed my concern to Sammy and he reassured me to not worry; my things arrived in less than 2 days in perfect condition and they helped set up all my furniture and household items making the set up process of my apartment that much easier. If you want a fairly priced, reliable and worry free move I would definitely recommend using this company, they will not disappoint you!"
