"I used Borello travel to book a 21-day honeymoon to Argentina. They were recommended in a number of Argentina travel guides. They are a specialty travel agency focused on South America, especially Argentina. PROS: The owner initially asked me questions on my travel preferences, budget, and preferred cities. She was extremely knowledgeable and conversational. They put together a great travel itinerary to meet our requests. They have great connections and truly know the country inside and out. The local tours selected were safe, high quality, and the guides were all excellent. They really work with reputable vendors in Argentina. We never once felt unsure of our itinerary or a tour. They were responsive throughout the planning process and during the trip when questions came up on my side. CONS: They do not disclose pricing per tour, so it's good to have a firm budget and a sense of what things truly cost. We paid a premium on some excursions. Based on our high budget, I would have expected more client support. This could have been my non-NYC or non-Argentina location, so I was at a disadvantage. We did almost all correspondence by email, and never a phone call. It would have helped to have more background on the tours. We really only got the written itinerary from them, and I had a lot of questions to help give context. They are pretty good for planning a trip, but I think with better customer service and more transparency, I would have rated them 5-stars."
