"2003. Me and my families stay was fine here when my little brother graduated the crucible. Great time driving around and exploring the base."
"I've stayed in worse, but if you miss staying in the barracks, this is the place for you. I noticed a couple of things are regulated by the dod, like water pressure and the temperature of the room. When I sleep I like the room to be a little cooler but couldn't get the HVAC to work but it definitely gets hot. I observed the AC unit looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in years. There is no air filter installed. The TV was as small as a computer monitor. Pillows were decent, but the bed is made of the same material a baby crib is made of. The headboard attached to the bed frame isn't the sturdiest, so you'll definitely have to put some kind of buffer behind the headboard to prevent it banging on the wall every time you move in the bed. The room definitely needs to be updated . Even got the opportunity to meet some little buddies that come out at night and happen to love beds. Definitely won't be staying here again. Luckily, the front desk people were cool and allowed me to check out early and get my other nights that I paid early for put back on my card. At least the shower water was hot. As far as air quality was not impressed. I could breathe better outside than inside the room. With the way the AC unit looks and judging by how the alarm clock looked makes you wonder if the housekeepers even wipe the room down or they just change the bedding out."
"Let me start with this, the location is ideal for MCRD graduations. It is well placed close to graduation activities. It is kept very clean and the accommodations are comfortable. As well, one of our rooms had a very noisy heating/cooling unit not repaired during our three day stay, after being reported to the front desk. It was loud enough to make sleeping difficult. The outside lights around the Inn were not on at night nor the stairwell lights which are outside. Otherwise, I would recommend the inn because of location, cleanliness, and costs."
"Barracks converted to a motel with friendly staff. Very nostalgic if you’re a Marine & the perfect location if you’re visiting for a MCRD graduation."
"Friendly front desk; however this place needs some serious work. Horrible shower pressure with lukewarm water; I was never really sure I actually got wet, much less able to rinse off the soap. The bed felt like a sheet of cardboard on a concrete slab with an overcooked piece of ravioli for a pillow. No blackout curtains but just slatted blinds. For $119 per night, this was at best a $60 red light district special. Only benefit to this place was the location, and that’s arguable."
