"I'm giving these guys a 5 star review... if you go there don't expect updated room .expect standard to small room. old money tasteful furnishing nice wooden pieces.. expect the television to take up some of the counter space on the dresser.. however great water pressure. crazy high pressure never seen anything like it. also ambience and odors were very clean and fresh.. very nice southern hospitality.. on the downside of the platinum member snack lounge personnel a little overbearing.. all in all is it was a very tasteful and nice experience. bedding and beds were every bit of Marriott standards.. and wife and i both got resful night sleep. thermostat was pretty old school below basic .. with no fan speed at all. very interesting.."

"EDIT: I forgot to add-- The staff are wonderful. So helpful. The front desk, concierge and restaurant wait staff all kindly answered my every question and even offered solutions to my challenges. In addition, the view from my room (fourth floor front) offered great views of the sunsets. Original review--- This is a nice traditional hotel. The breakfast buffet is good. I especially liked the vegetarian grits casserole. Would have preferred to be downtown, as I thought I would get when I booked. But my mistake did make for a comfortable room."

"Everybody was polite and helpful, Shannon was happy to answer the many questions i had on the phone before coming. The shuttle was a fun and more unique experience. The food offered was amazing and the flavored drinks in the lobby were also an amazing touch. The room was clean and taken care of and the selection of soap/shampoo was a good choice and we liked that. Wish we knew the brand info, forgot to check before leaving. The decor is also beautiful. Overall it was a great experience!"

"I stayed as a guest of a local automobile manufacturer during a car delivery. Upon approaching, the hotel looks dated, but everything on the inside is elegant, clean, and upscale. The service was top notch. Food and drinks in the on-site restaurant were very good as well. I would stay again for sure."

"A beautiful hotel tucked away on the corner yet near everything. It’s obviously an older Marriott but cleaner than 9/10 of the newer stuff I normally stay in. The front desk staff were all friendly and welcoming. Check in was a breeze! This hotel has a beautiful southern charm to it and feels like home away from home."
