"I just tried to make an exchange here, and it was such an odd experience. It felt like the boy at the register was telling me to do his job. "Hand me that phone. Grab me that pen." The store needs some serious TLC, too. It always seems understocked, dirty, and haphazardly put together."
"Too many closed boxes.on aisles..especially the book aisle was closed off..they had boxes of merchandise and carts..very short on staff..some workers didn't even greet at checkouts..OVERWORKED/UNDERPAID/NOT ENOUGH HOURS?"
"This store used to be decent, but it's gone way down hill. Everything is in boxes. Stuff is dirty. Empty boxes are not even removed from the shelves. It's rarely restocked; I imagine they have items to restock, but they keep it all in boxes. The toy and book aisle is blocked off with rope and a sign saying "temporarily closed." The aisle is filled with boxes to restock the store. It's been this way for over a month now. As a mom on the Eastside, this Dollar Tree was a nice place to go because I could find some toys, coloring books, and story books to surprise my kid and entertain her after school without spending much on them. With the toy and book aisle being blocked off for over a month, I don't even bother looking here anymore. I just go to Walmart or the Dollar Tree on the Westside if I'm out that way. I'm not sure what's happened to this store, but it's gone from okay (it wasn't ever great, but it was decent) to poor. I've wondered a few times if they're planning to close the location because there's clearly no care given to restocking the shelves or cleaning up the dust. If they're keeping this store open, they need new management or more employees or for their corporate office to step in or something. On the note of the employees, the people who work there have always been very friendly and helpful to me when shopping and checking out. Their customer service is great. I have nothing but positive words for them. Something just seems to be going on with the store itself. I imagine whatever is happening, it's not within their control."
"I come to this dollar tree all the time. For one it always pretty empty, everything is still in the box, workers do not care about the people that shop in here.. I was one of the few customers that told this young man Elijah that there was a Spill on the floor, like shampoo or something all the way down the ali, and told him I almost fall and they need to put a sign up before someone gets hurt he said nothing. Acted like I was bothering him. I was trying to be nice I continued to check out walked outside and another employee was standing outside doing nothing but on his phone. This place needs to pull this store back together I love dollar tree but this one really could use some work."
