"My daughter, who is 3, found a pair of socks that she really liked and when we got to check out, this man with piercings on his face scanned the barcode twice and told me it wasn’t working. And instead of first offering a solution, he immediately told me he couldn’t sell the socks to me. I then asked him if he could ask someone else to which he responded very rudely “they’re just going to tell you the same thing”. I stood there waiting for a solution then he goes to check the socks and comes back and tells me he cannot find them & that he’s not going to sell them. My daughter sadly looked at me asking if she can have the socks, loudly and clearly enough for him to hear & I followed up and told him “typically, at any store, a solution is found or looked for before telling a customer they aren’t going to be sold an item. Especially a pair of socks” to which he rudely exclaimed again “I’m not selling you these.” Anywhere else a manager either would’ve manually priced them to similar items or they just would’ve had a better solution than “the barcodes not working. You can have the item”. I get that it’s a store in the hood but I’ve been to Family Dollar’s further in the hood with no problems and better attitudes than this one. Especially an attitude directed to a mother with her 3 year old daughter for no reason. Just laziness. I hope they replace staff him with people who actually somewhat care. I’m not really sure how this store sits at a 3.6 when it should really stand at a 1."
"This family Dollar is never open! Cars are in the parking lot but the door is locked during normal business hours. The parking lot is horrible and has potholes across the entire parking lot! Store is extremely dirty and cluttered. The floors are disgusting! Anytime I have been able to actually get inside during normal business hours The cashiers just stand at the front on their phones watching videos or movies."
"The workers are rude. Talk disrespectful to the customers. Store is dirty and cluttered. U Boat all on the isles. Prices are not placed appropriately. Manager and staff are horrible. Don't shop here."
"This Family Dollar needs to be cleaned, the floors are unbelievable they are nasty, just filthy, I had to purchase some cleaner to spray on my shoes when I left out of this store. Management can do way better than this. I wonder if the reason they don't care about this store, is because the majority of customers are African American. I will never shop this Family Dollar again. If I am going to patronize your establishment, and bring business to you, the least you could do is keep your establishment clean. It is deplorable! I am angry that your customers are continuing to spend their hard earned money with you. They should stop shopping here, until you do better by them!"
"Well could be better. Only one cash register open and like 10 people waiting In line. And then finally they opened another one so that helped. But it sounds like no one wants to work anymore. They cant find good workers anymore. But I do have to say it has gotten better with new management or person in charge. I give it 4 stars for getting alot better."
