"After having a terrible experience with Beaufort Rentals, another Property Management company, I hired For Rent In Beaufort because I was so impressed with Kirstin. The other company had my property for 6+ weeks and never found a tenant for my property. Kirstin was able to find the perfect tenant within 24 hours of us signing the leasing agreement. Take it from me if you are just beginning your search for a property management company and hire For Rent In Beaufort. CAUTION: Stay away from Beaufort Rentals!!"

"This rental company and Kirstin were a huge help to me right from the start! I had never rented a place on my own, they helped make the application process and getting approved as easy as possible. I was able to have the lease on a month-to-month basis so I could move whenever I need to if I decided to get something different or bigger. I was also able to move in very quickly to an area that was very convenient to my work and my friends/family in Beaufort. They stayed in contact with me regularly just to check in and if there were any changes or new updates from the home owners. I was able to contact them as well and get a fast response if I had any payment or maintenance issues and get the problem resolved smoothly. The owners did eventually decide to sell the house, which we had talked about in the beginning would eventually happen. The company gave me plenty of time to find a new place, get everything moved, and have the house cleaned up for my final inspection. Kirstin helped a ton with trying to help me find a new place to move to as well but we couldn't quite find just the right match for me. I have greatly appreciated hers and the company's help through this whole process, I only wish I would have been more financially ready to be able to buy the house from the home owners. I will definitely go back to For Rent In Beaufort in the future if I have any other renting/buying needs in the area. I would also 100% recommend them to my family and friends to use as well! "Renter- 32 McLane Street Saint Helena Island, SC 29920 This company and the property owner were predatory & greatly took advantage of us through the military Permanent Change of Station process. We were a short notice move on both the front end and back end of our rental— still giving 30 days notice before move out, although we were out within 6 days. We made both the property owner & management aware of our situation. We were unable to view the house prior to move in, but were able to view the property utilizing FaceTime. During this, we were told the house hadn’t been cleaned or the yard tended to, but it would be done prior to move in. After move in, we reiterated several times that the house was not cleaned (the air filter looked like it had been there for decades) & the months of leaves compiled on the porch had not been removed. The leaves were eventually blown into the yard, but the house was never cleaned. While this issue wasn’t resolved, we remained in the house for 1.5 years. There were several issues, but most were ~eventually dealt with by the property owner to include broken A/C & doors (move in day), electrical issues w/ kitchen, bathroom & master bedroom, leaking roof & pest issues (ants, roaches & mice). We were not notified of any these ongoing issues prior to move in. In addition, there were issues with “amenities”. We were not notified there was no mail or trash service and poor insulation (the entire top floor is unfinished and has insulation hanging off the walls allowing A/C and heat to escape)/weather stripping that increased costs significantly. There were safety issues with broken window locks on the ground floor, hanging smoke detectors and broken outdoor lighting. Upon move out, I attempted to reach Kirstin 3 different times, but was unable to speak with her. She was “unable to receive my voicemails” but accommodated us with a later walk through (after we had PCS'd). I didn’t originally see an issue with this until we were presented with a list of problems with the house. All of the issues identified were previously mentioned by us upon move in, but were never dealt with by the company. All attempts were ignored until we did what we were able to on our own. Had we been there for the walk through, I believe this would have been handled completely different. We were bounced back and forth between this company and the property manager/owner (Lucy Allen, Ambrosia Holdings, LLC), as neither wanted to deal with the issues. There was an extreme lack of communication until we received a list for the security deposit withholdings written on a piece of loose leaf notebook paper in the mail with a check for our deposit. Our concerns were never addressed by either party, but they were happy to keep more than a third of our deposit. It seems we’re being taken advantage of & excuses are being made to keep our security deposit. For these reasons, I would not recommend working with this company or property owner in the Beaufort area. FYSA for renters/buyers Ongoing issues in 32 McLane Street, Saint Helena Island SC 29920: - Pest Problems (roaches, mice and ants) - Insulation/weather stripping - Electrical - Outdoor lighting - No mail/package delivery - No trash service"

I had the pleasure of working with her for almost 2 years and the company for almost 3 years. I never had to worry about anything with my property.
